  1. We have a cruise booked for Mar 19, 2023. I got a email on Jan 3 for the move up. It is under 60 days and check in isn’t available. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. If you booked with all of the perks it includes the premium Wi-Fi, premium drink pack, gratuities and some OBC. The amount of the OBC depends on the length of the cruise There may be some bookings that give the option with the perks or without. It depends on when you booked and the promo at the time. Last Feb I was on the Apex in a SS. I couldn’t log into the internet. I went to the Retreat Host and she looked at my account and said that I didn’t have it. I told her that I am in a suite and it comes with all of the perks. She said not really. Many are in the suites without the perks. I showed her my invoice. She got on the phone and about a hour later it was resolved. The info wasn’t passed on to the ship. The same in Luminae. The server asked for my card when I ordered a drink. I said “i am in a suite otherwise I wouldn’t be dining here and suites get the premium drink pack.” Heard the same thing that not all suite passengers have all of the perks so that ask the first time to confirm if we do or don’t Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. Be sure to have gloves, hat, and maybe something to cover your ears. It gets very chilly if on the outside deck or watching from your veranda. We were on our balcony, wearing souvenir sweat shirts and the robes. They also have blankets on the pool deck. It may be wise to grab one of those also. All window seats are are at premium. It is another form of chair hogs. The same people would stay there all day and night. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. Try the Classic. You can always upgrade on board. A Bt told me that the best deal was the Classic because 90% of the drinks that people order are within the Classic. With the cutbacks a lot of the so called premium liquors aren't being furnished because of so called supply issues. The supply issue is that Celebrity doesn’t want to supply. if you are spending more that $20/day paying the difference in drinks then upgrade. As others noted any drink you order will usually be made with well liquors even though you have the premium pack unless you specify the brand. The same goes for the bottled water. They will give you the water in the Classic unless you ask for the “premium” water, and most times all they have is the water given in the Classic. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. Purchase it from the Bartender and bar that you like. The BT gets the gratuity on that purchase and is very grateful. You might also benefit from doing that. 😉. If you buy from those hawks that pester you they are just chasing the gratuity and you will never see them again. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. Scale it down and do it cafeteria style. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. Remember the rumor that the hamburgers at Jack in the Box was made from Kangaroo meat? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. Here is a screen shot for the Beyond sailing for Luminae. It also has pigs feet for an appetizer. Can’t wait to try that.🙄. In all honesty my dad use boil pigs feet and pigs head to make head cheese, it could also contain the brain, eyes, ears, tongue if bought for the local butcher shop. Pickled pigs feet was a staple in the neighborhood bars along with pickled eggs. I wonder if the next item will be chicken feet and that isn’t a joke. A person I worked with told me that his favorite Christmas dinner was Chitlins and chicken feet. I said you have to be joking what is there to eat on a chickens foot. He said there there is pad on the bottom of the foot that is fantastic. He also said that chitlins were very time consuming to make and they only had them on special occasions. Stuff like this takes me back to my childhood. People learned how to make scrap products taste fantastic and that is what we ate and became the food we liked. The one thing that I couldn’t stomach but my relatives fought over was Czarnina, duck blood soup. We didn’t have the finer things like snail, frog legs, fish eggs, and etc. 😱 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. It is too bad that they wasted all that money on the buffet stations and not utilize them. I wonder if the newer ships will downsize in that area and use the space for something else? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. I agree about that chicken. I tried it once because nothing else appealed to me on the menu that night. It didn’t make a favorable impression of him if that is his signature dish. If you look on the Xs app you will now see that it is duck leg confit “ char sui” Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. The Reflection is our favorite S class ship. Its theme is reflection. There is a lot of art work using that theme. You need to walk down the hallway to Blu There is a wall lined with painted mirrors. You may not notice anything but dots, it is an optical forest. If you look at it using your phone to take a picture you can see the forest. There is also a piece by Blu that has a moving changing picture. It is rather slow so be patient. This is the forest picture Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. Welcome back to the GREAT Lakes State. I am sitting in the house watching the NFL playoffs, replying to this and thinking about maybe going outside to shovel the 2 inches of wet snow that we have. It is 34 F. The rest of the week will be around 34 F so I am hoping it will melt. We live south of the big D in the HS Hockey Town, Trenton. Thanks for sharing your experience, observations and etc. We will be driving to Ft Lauderdale in a 2 months to also do a B2B on the Beyond. It isn’t worth driving there for anything less than a 14 day cruise. We drive because my wife refuses to fly. We use the driving time as an extended vacation. Do some sightseeing and tours along the way. Always do something on the Bourbon Trail on the way home and stock up with lower cost liquor from FL and KY. We mostly buy bourbons and they are cheaper than the duty free shop on board or the islands and we don’t have to carry off the ship. We buy it at Costco or Total Wine. Sometimes Total Wine is cheaper. I found that the liquor store at Costco is actually independent and you don’t need a membership. In Michigan it is controlled by the Liquor commission and anyone can go in and buy without a membership but the prices aren’t any better than any other liquor store selling at the state minimum. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. Our first cruise on Celebrity was on the Solstice in AQ. We did it for the healthier things that they promised. Boarding the ship we were giving a welcome about glass of “Champagne “ and then when we seen the atrium we went WOW. We were sold there. At that time always sailed on Carnival and loved every cruise. We are at their highest level and really don’t like when people bad mouth them. It is what they promote, a fun ship When we walked into our cabin we were really sold. Concerning the bath room on the S class there was a shower panel with body jets, and the balcony is larger and the Persian Gardens is a billion times nicer. The next cruise was on the Summit. It is a M class. It is a nice ship but the cabins and Persian Gardens have a lot to be desired. We were on the Summit last year and Kelly redesigned the cabins. She ruined them. Try a S class. Or E class cruise. Completely different experience. The M class is ok and has a lot of nice features and we also enjoy sailing on them but the cabins are dated and balconies are smaller, and the Persian Garden is like a dungeon. The bathrooms reminds me of a bathroom in an old travel trailer. The public areas nice with class. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. I am Elite Plus. The year I became Elite they started the All Perks included and now All Inclusive. We have never benefited from the perks except for the laundry, and maybe priorities. We always sail in AQ that had promos for all the perks or SS with all the perks so we don’t need any of the HH drinks and that was the main enticement before the included drink packs. We never use the morning coffee break since we have Blu or Luminae. Yes it is redundant but I do have the choice of sailing in a lower class or the one I prefer and many times the higher class end up being cheaper considering what is offered, besides the drink pack and internet it includes the gratuities. Gratuities aren’t included in Zenith. So it may end up being a few dollars more for AQ that has Blu and the Persian gardens plus the extra perks. I will never reach Zenith and I will need 500 more points when I finish the cruises I have booked thru 2025 The perks may be nice but as you indicate why chase after it? I can understand where you feel it is useless as get the premium drink pack and I think internet. It use to include the retreat lounge but that changed. I think there are now too many Zenith.. That is why I don’t a chase after it. I was burned a few times by loyalty clubs. The air lines, and casinos. You get there and they change the rules or benefits because there are too many now at that level. Your best bet is to book the cheapest cabin in the category that you want without the perks and if you don’t like the MDR do a dinner pack but that ends up giving them more revenue. It is a vicious circle. And if after the next few cruises if the cuts affect my cruise experience I will forfeit the NRD for the remaining cruises and end my sailing on X cutting my loses. I will give up the $100 pp in a lieu of throwing away thousands on a inferior product that no longer gives value for the price paid Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. That is true but if you don’t do anything will it get any better or continue to get worse? You have a choice, accept now what they are doing or you can cancel. If you do take the cruise and things haven’t improved than SPEAK UP and PROTEST Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. There have been many threads/topics about the cuts and not being satisfied with the recent changes. Besides venting and informing that is helpful there is a easy solution instead of just posting on CC: Submit a comment to detail card when on board When doing the survey rate the areas that don’t relate to service unless that is needed as a 1 if you aren’t happy. Don’t give them a 10 in areas that have been cut, give it a 1 If they ask if you would cruise again or recommend X to others: No. for reasons stated If you don’t like all of the changes let them know and don’t rely on them reading CC Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. as I posted on other threads The best thing to do is to submit a comment to detail card when on board Then when doing the survey rate the areas that don’t relate to service unless that is needed as a 1 if you aren’t happy. Don’t give them a 10 in areas that have been cut, give it a 1 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. The best thing to do is to submit a comment to detail card when on board Then when doing the survey rate the areas that don’t relate to service unless that is needed as a 1 if you aren’t happy. If it is an issue of paying for another permit they should do it for the amount that is charged for a package that doesn’t provide what is promised. On our recent cruise in Nov. they ran out of Woodford, and basically all wines in the premium package. Excuse supply issue Don’t give them a 10 in areas that have been cut, give it a 1 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

  20. The behavior of other suite guests in the lounge also leaves much to be desired. that may be true but I bet that those guests were more real genuine happy to see you than the servers or butlers. As one comic said “lock your wife and dog in the trunk of your car and see what one is the most happiest to see you when you let them out.” 🤗😱 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. We were doing a 4B2B on an Edge class ship. The first leg in a SS, AQ,AQ,SS. The move up minimum was $1500 pp to a SS from the AQ for both cruises. During the first cruise I went to GR to find out how much it would be to move up to the SS for the next cruise that was in AQ. The SS cabin that we had was available for the next cruise. This was on the close to the end of that cruise. They said that they would get back to me. I asked again on the last night and they said that they would let me know the next morning that would be the beginning of the next cruise. I asked that morning and they said that they haven’t heard from corporate. Didn’t hear anything back. So we weren’t really interested now as we already moved. The 3rd day of the cruise after noon there was a message on our phone. We could move into a SS for an addition $1500 pp. No way. We already moved and are now into the 3rd day of a 7 day cruise. We didn’t bother for the next cruise as AQ was fine. I would suggest giving it a try. You don’t have to accept and it may work for you. That is our experience. Others may have had better experiences. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. Or you can upgrade and pay $9 at Craft Social for Chicken Wings. 🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Talk about bottom feeders it can’t be worse than snails and I am sure passengers will complain if it is removed from the daily menu Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. Read from post 243 down to her answer in 247 She claims she went to GR and they confirmed it Happy cruising
  25. There is a live thread now of sailing on the Constellation. The writer said that they now allow OBC for Future Cruise Certificates It appears as if Celebrities recent “enhancements” are taking its toll. Apparently passengers aren’t flocking to the Future Cruise Desk as they were in the past and are now trying to get passengers to commit. I wonder what the catch is? If you had one and didn’t use it in a year your money would be refunded. Now that it is NR OBC I doubt if it would be refunded except being that amount in OBC on another cruise. If you book a cruise with NRD and cancel it should cover the cost of the $100 service fee. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
