We sailed out of Tampa last year. The first cruise on the Summit from Miami and then drove to Tampa for the next one on the Constellation. We prefer the Constellation. Enjoy the Constellation before Kelly destroys it like she did to the Summit with her designs, and shame on the management for approving them. The Constellation had a few upgrades but still has the old charm that doesn’t look like Ilea. If you want a nice experience visit the Tampa Aquarium. It is very unique. We were impressed. Many areas are wide open with no barriers except for the tanks. There are wild life areas where you are like walking in the outdoors thru their habitant. 2 to 3 hours is the time needed but you can spend as much time as you want.. It is next to the cruise port. No. They use to make them with an ice press and they were clear. I am sure It was too slow for the quantity needed. They now make them in a mold and they aren’t any different than if you make them at home. We use a sphere mold for ice in our Old Fashion I also bought an ice maker that makes small clear cubes. No one notices that they are clear and it doesn’t add anything that cloudy ones do. They are mostly used for presentation in high class bars serving premium drinks. Celebrity is constantly on the down hill of being a ‘class’ line and that was another thing they eliminated a few years ago. There are cubes in the WCB and Eden. It depends on what you consider a obstruction. Some consider the large overhangs a obstruction as it blocks out the sun, or sky but it also protects from the elements Some think that life boats below obstruct their view Some of the Edge class ships have poles on their balconies. Some on the S class have poles in the cabin Some think the Magic carpet obstructs their view when on the top deck. it isn’t any different than sitting in your car. There will be some obstruction. Your TA is partially right. On the Edge class It is very difficult for the server to obtain anything from the other restaurants so they don’t do it. As a Retreat guest you have the option to dine in Blu and the other MDRs by making arrangements therefore you can order off of those menus but you have to be in that dining room. Adding to your list I would also say anything with elastic that you don’t want ruined Sometimes the elastic in under wear and socks gets destroyed. It isn’t very expensive so it isn’t much of a loss if it does. They also iron on identification tape. Those little tags are stiff and irritate my skin so I pull them off. Sometimes they come off easy but they always remove some material when doing. I have had a few shirts mess up because during removal it pulled a thread. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I think all family verandas at the front of the ship have been converted and reclassified as Horizon Suites. The former aft SS are now called Sunset suites. On a cruise that I booked the Horizon Suites cost more than a Celebrity Suite. The Sunset are more than a SS. All the aft suites are sunset and cost the same including the corner suites that used to cost more than a aft SS. I think you can contribute all of these changes to the advice that people on Cruise Critic would give about the best and most desirable cabins. Since they were and are considered the best Celebrity seen a opportunity to charge a premium for them. Drinks are available as soon as you board at most bars. The complimentary HH drinks are not honored on the first night, and I don’t think on the the night of the CC Senior Officer party. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Is it worth spending more money than you originally intended to? If you were happy with the category you booked why pay more to change? We have a SS booked . We received a email informing us that move ups were available. It looks like a bargain to bid on the PH compared to the other categories. Even if I got it for the minimum offer of $2000 pp it is way more than I want to spend and don’t see the added value. It is for a 7 day cruise. Our SS was $4700 total. It would almost double the cost of the cruise. the min is move up to a CS is $1500 pp and AQ suite $400 pp. Only you can decide and evaluate if it is worth it to you Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

It would be a better option to join them in Blu and apply the saved money for a specialty restaurant. Recently sailing in a suite there were many times we ordered from the MDR menu or Blu. Many of the entrees in Luminae aren’t that appealing. You should all check the menu first to see if it appeals to everyone before committing to it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

They have offered a 6 pack for the price of 5 consisting of a certain brand of beers at some bars. I know that the pool bar is one. You need to look in the daily rag or wander around and ask at the bars. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

If they have a beer bucket special and are sailing out of a port you may be charged the tax of that port that will eliminate any savings. This happened to me sailing out of Ft Lauderdale. Be sure that you are out of their area or asked the server to delay the charge and explain why Then give them a extra tip Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Nothing new. It has been that way for a long time. I think it was implemented because many would book cruises with prime cabin location just to have them and then cancel Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We did the train ride in St Kitts. Boring and wouldn’t recommend it. I am a train enthusiast and love the experience of riding the rails. This wasn’t one of them. It is rather rustic and the seating arrangement is very bad. It is a bench along each side of the car. You can’t see the other side because of the passengers and you have to twist your body 180 to see the side you are sitting on. Plus the cars really rock and you can’t stand up to look at the other side. We also did the Chef thing tour in St Lucia. Not worth the cost. We stopped at the market there and they walked us thru it showing us the different sections. We could have done that our selves and we did it before on our own. We then went to the Pink House. That was the best part. The area was nice and the food was good. The dinner on board was disappointing. It was family style and the entrees were for the most part over cooked. They were very dry and tasteless. There were a few hits but most were misses. This is my opinion Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

It doesn’t matter if you are in AQ. There is nothing special for AQ passengers. The buffet, maybe the Spa cafe, Mast grill and Eden Cafe, The sushi restaurant maybe also be open but there is a charge. The Martini bar serves olives and Cafe al Bacio has pastries. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Among the perks and benefits is shoe shine service. Have you ever used it? If so did you also give them a gratuity? I think it states to leave your shoes outside your door. Not sure about that but I don’t know if I would want to do that. Happy cruising🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Exactly. Some one will contact a TA and say they want to travel during a certain date and specify the category. If it is a great TA they will inform the client about the price differences but for the most part they will accommodate the client’s wishes. Less work and move on to the next call that been on hold. I am sure that there are many passengers that book a cruise without researching cruise prices. All they want is a date, category, itinerary and cruise line. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I also feel for those people. We don’t know how geeat we have it especially when our greatest concern on CC is about having to pay for room service, increase in the bev package, additional cost for a extra lobster and etc. Cruising is a privilege and not a right. I think that it would be best to Inform the Coast Guard and then monitor them until the Coast Guard arrives. With the resources that the Coast Guard have it shouldn’t take the very long. Assuming it is in the Caribbean the Coast guard is probably within 1 hour. I seen pthe US Coast Guard sailing around Aruba and St Lucia, plus there stations at the US territories.
