  1. I think it is a 1/2 mile walk. I always take a lot of US dollar bills. There are vendors always selling the local beers out of a cooler for a few dollars. It is legal to drink the beer in public. There is also a cheese store/factory on the way. It is nice to stop in and get some free samples. The cheese is very good. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

  3. You were allowed to take food off of the ship? What port was that? Most have warning signs about taking food off of the ship as it isn’t allowed. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. I think it is at the beginning of the year. Late Jan early Feb.
  5. How did you meet the performers? Was there a special meet and greet with them? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. They are exciting deals, not bargains. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. Look at the photo that were posted. I think they will answer your question. I think you can look any direction you want, depending on where you sit. It is L shaped. With one section facing the balcony. happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. After taking ships tours we have found that they are over priced and exactly as described. The issue is because the way they are described we read more into it and that is done on purpose. After many disappointing tours we reread the description and agree it is exactly as described. We no longer take ships tours. We don’t like being herded around like cattle and standing in lines waiting like children for the school bus. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. Increase the price and decrease what is available. Great way to increase or make up for lost revenue. On our last cruise in Oct many of the spirits that were listed in the premium weren’t available because of a supply issue. Strange that the everything included in the Classic were. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. Their IT department is bad and so is the process for the call in center. They want you to do everything on line. Fine but make it easier and more clearer. Call and be put on hold for a long time. Get connected and they want a lot of info. The info isn’t required as it is just a general question that can’t be found in their FAQ. After giving them the info they transferred me and now on hold again. I get connected and then am told that since I booked thru a TA I have to go thru them. I could have been told that by the first agent. My question could have been answered by knowing the cruises I was on. They didn’t need to know the booking number and names on etc. The cruise that I was on and the ports of departures would have been enough. The question was I am on a B2B within 2 weeks. At that time my first cruise was 9 days so there was no Covid test required. The second cruise is 10 days. A test at that time was required for 10 day or more cruises. I wanted to know if Celebrity provides the test for the next cruise. Why couldn’t they answer that without having to go the TA and making me be on hold for a long time and then having to give the same information again? A total waste of my time and theirs. The TA now had to go thru the same process unless they already knew the answer from a similar situation. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. Was this on a European cruise? Celebrity included the gratuity in the cost as that is the custom in Europe. European don’t add a gratuity to the bill as it is included in cost. A very good BT friend that works in a Vegas told me that the Europeans never tip for their purchased drinks or complimentary drinks. It isn’t their fault as it isn’t expected in their country because it isn’t necessary because the cost includes it. We were in Bermuda sitting at a bar called the Frog and Onion having a drink. The menu stated that the gratuity is included. Most Americans don’t notice that and tip additional. A couple sitting next to us checked out. The male paid the bill with his credit card and added a gratuity. The female left a cash gratuity. Both were feeling really good and at the verge of having sex at the bar. They were hammering down the drinks and said they were there a few hours. We engaged in a conversation. They were on the other ship in the port. He signed the bill with his credit card . The female put money in the folder and handed it to the BT and said I have the tip He said I added it to the bill . I said it is included in the price. He said wow, we really over tipped but someone will be getting a different tip very shortly.. I seen their bill. It was almost $300. He said the drinks really add up and I didn’t think we had that many. They left at least $120 between them plus the 20% added on the bill Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. Thanks We were in a suite in Oct. The only bourbons were Makers, Bulleit, Beam, Jack and rot gut Ten High. In Luminae there weren’t many wines available that were in the premium package. Most were covered by the Classic. It was always because of the supply issue. I thinks the supply issue was Celebrity not wanting to supply it to cut cost as there was Woodford Bourbon available in the duty free shop. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. With the increase in price I hope that they will now be able to stock the bars with plenty of the spirits that are included in the package instead of claiming it is a supply issue when they don’t have it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. Thanks UTube and buying from independent mom and pop stores. The small stores cost are in line with the big box chain stores. They also offer better quality and always willing to give advice. They need to be competitive to stay in business. Do a lot of planning and have another lavatory to use. The money I saved doing it myself paid for a few cruises. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. Email from Cruise Critic , Things to avoid for a cruise, Insurance from a cruise line. It is from this site There are many private insurances that will cover you. We get a annual traveling policy that covers us for the year for any travel. I don’t care about the cost of the cruise as that is money already spent. I am concerned about the catastrophic medical part . I am on Medicare and I am not covered after so so many hours away from a USA port. I have also found that many health care insurance companies don’t cover medical conditions outside of the USA. You need to look at your policy. We take too many things for granted and it can cost us if not prepared. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. There was a premium drink plus package that included the premium drink pack upgrade plus the mini bar, snacks and casino credit. It was a deal depend on the length of the cruise. You got daily 2 splits of wine, mini bottles of Tito’s vodka, Kind Bars, and Pringles. I think if the cruise was 7 days it was a no brainer as the casino credit covered the cost. I don’t know if it is still offered Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. Find a BT that you like and makes the drinks the way that you like them. Grease their palm. They will accommodate you If you don’t have a package or want to upgrade do it with a BT that you like. They get the 20% gratuity. PLEASE DON’T DO IT WITH THE HAWKS THAT APPROACH YOU AROUND THE SHIP ON THE FIRST DAY. They are chasing the gratuity and you will never see them again. DO IT WITH SOMEONE THAT WILL BE SERVING YOU AND WILL ACCOMMODATE YOU. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. We recently booked 1615, the same cabin but on the port sode, on the Silhouette. The price was crazy. It was less than a Sky Suite. We would normally book a SS but couldn’t pass this up. $702 pp for a 4 day cruise plus around $500 OBC we booked many B2B. I don’t care if it is the same ports. I cruise for cruising and to enjoy the ship. We try to avoid the sun and like the large overhang. Is the balcony for the most part in the shade. I know it depends on the time of day and the way the ship is sailing. We spend a lot of time on the balcony. It is nice for a coffee In the morning and enjoying the sea while relaxing on the loungers in the afternoon reading or napping while sipping on a bourbon that we got before going to the cabin and depending on the butler they may deliver. Thanks Happy cruising 🚢🇺🇸🇺🇸🌅
  19. We were on the Summit when Capt Kate took over for Capt Leo. It was here first time being a captain. It was a 14 day New England cruise. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. I replaced ours with a walk-in shower. I did all of the work except for installing the counter top and shower glass. It was included in the cost and glad that they did it We haven’t used a bath tub to take a bath in ages. We only shower. For those that shower only they are dangerous. They are hard to stand in because they are slippery and worse when on a ship that is rocking and rolling. Many have told us that it will decrease the value of our house. I don’t care. I am the one living in it. If the potential by]Uber don’t like it than don’t buy it. The other is it won’t be my problem because I do t plan on moving. I will die here. Many hotels are also replacing the combo tubs showers with showers only. Before and now Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. On the E class they charge for pastries in the French Cafe. There is a charge for Gelato In Craft Social there is a food menu that charges for food. There are also some restaurants with charges for upgraded entrees Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. I asked if I could order a drink and not dine in Sushi and was told that it is a restaurant and not a bar. Denied. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. I was looking at shore excursions. There are are and weight restrictions on some. On one it listed the maximum age of 100. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
