  1. Here is a part of my invoice for a cruise in a suite. The invoice is from Celebrity it shows the premium drink pack , gratuities, and premium Wi-Fi Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. This is from the app for the Beyond sailing March 2023. $4.95 for for late night between 11p and 5 a for inside thru CC categroies AQ and suites there is not charge Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. We attended it on the equinox in Nov. The mixologist mixed some drinks while someone from the entertainment staff did some talking. We couldn’t hear him because the band was playing too loud. They mixed and served 4 regular size drinks in a period of 45 minutes. A Mai Tai, Manhattan or old fashion, Kir Royale, and Cosmo. I am glad that there were free. None were were very good. If we didn’t have the drink pack we probably would have drank them. I think it was at 4 or 5 in the evening in the Sky Lounge close to the end of the cruise. I heard it was a test and only available at that time on the Equinox. It was a Elite Plus event that required a RSVP. There weren’t many attending and I didn’t count but I would guess 20 max Drink up 🍻🍷🍸🥂🍺
  4. I thought you were suppose to use the brush. 😱 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. Next will be a added charged for those tables in the dining rooms by the windows that many think are so great and a chair fee at the Martini Bar. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸
  6. On our recent cruise the service charge was for room service during the late night. I think it was after midnight and before 5 or 6 am Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. They would have to do this if the quality was too good.
  8. You are 100% correct. Years ago all gas stations had full service. That disappeared as people opted to pump their own to save a few Pennies per gallon In HS I worked in a supermarket. We rang up the order, packed the bags and someone took the bags to your car and put them in the trunk. We also had a desk for bottle returns where we would take the bottles and give the refund Many full service stores went out of business because of the self serve concept. As you posted people are willing to give up service and sometimes quality for a cheaper price. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. You can get martinis using classic spirits at the martini bar. It will not be the martinis from Martini Bar menu in a smaller glass and I don’t think they try to duplicate them using classic package spirits. Other bars also serve martinis. They will make it using well spirits even if you have the premium package. If you have the premium package you have to specify what premium spirit you want in it but they won’t make any martinis from the martini bar menu as those are unique to that bar. drink up. 🍺🥂🍸🍷🍻
  10. You are probably correct. The only time I was in a PH suite was during a cabin crawl and I thought there was one. It has been a long time ago. I know there isn’t any in the RS Here is a photo of the kitchenette area in the RS on the Reflection. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. Being in a Penthouse suite you have unlimited dining in all of the Specialty restaurants. This also gives you unlimited in Sushi on 5 and any specialty restaurant that is open during lunch time and etc. There is also a per fee menu in Craft Social Bar with stuff like bone marrow, burgers and etc. you also get gelato without paying extra. One time we had a Royal suite. It was really nice having breakfast there every morning. There is a large dining table and the butler would have everything there. Since the bedroom is in a different area he can come in and drop it off without disturbing us. It was great to sit here having the morning coffee and breakfast and not be crowded or having to walk down to the Luminae and wait to be served and for the food There should also be a microwave, large refrigerator, and beverage cooler stocked with beer, water, soda and etc. I would book every specialty restaurant and repeat them as you can order something different. You will also have unlimited premium internet. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. The cruise lines are becoming like the airlines. Air travel use to be luxurious and now it is bare bones public transportation like riding a city bus or subway. It use to be luxurious to cruise, now they are like the airlines that keeps nibbling away. I would not be surprise that they will start charging for luggage and have a weight restriction Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. We don’t like the thermal spa on the E class. The loungers aren’t as comfortable as those on the S class. What is the purpose of sitting in a room with a block of salt or a crystal? We mostly sail in the Caribbean, if I want to sit in a hot humid salty area I will do it on my balcony while listening and watching the waves instead of looking at 4 blank walls. The swinging chairs are idiotic. They don’t swing as they are anchored by a short rope to the floor, plus why would you sit in them? They aren’t that comfortable and don’t have any view. Sit in the chair and read? There is no place to set a water bottle or anything else. There are better and more comfortable places on the ship. More design for look and style instead of function that is designed by Kelly like many other features on the E class. The common shower tunnel is like walking thru a car wash. All it needs is a spray of body wash at the entrance, and a spray of lotion plus blowers at the end to dry off. The best Persian Garden is on on the Reflection Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. Why should I talk you out of it? If you want to do it go for it. I am not a rep for Celebrity and don’t get paid anything for you sailing on them. I think many on this forum are looking at alternative cruise lines as Celebrity is getting too expensive and not producing a premium product We have recently sailed on Celebrity. The service is great as it is on every cruise line but the quality has gone down. The premium beverage package is a joke as many wines, liquors, and beers that were listed in that weren’t available. The reason was supply issue. The supply issue is that Celebrity doesn’t want to supply it. I have no problem finding any of that stuff at the local liquor stores, and they have plenty of it. The entertainment is very poor. I have seen better at the local high school and the amateur community theater. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. Many areas on the Reflection are expanded. There are also more cabins so some think it is more crowded and it is in some areas but there are also expanded decks. Blu is a litter more cramped because there are more AQ cabins and is the same space with added tables The gym area is larger along with the World Class Bar and the Sunset bar. The Persian Garden is larger with more loungers and a cold room It has a large variety of special restraints. it is our favorite S class ship, but they are all nice and enjoyed every one. Blu and the Persian Garden only affect those in AQ The Sky Lounge is also truncated for the addition of more suites. It has some good features and also some not so good depending on what you value. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. Before you book a week pass for the Persian Garden on the Summit you should look at it first It is in a room with no windows and has a heated bench like a church pew along one wall. The size will accommodate 4 people with some space between, 6 is too crowded. When in AQ we don’t waste our time going there and we don’t use our free pass either. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. We have done 28 days, four 7 day cruises because of the lift and shifts. I was ready during the middle of the 3rd week to go home. I got tired of eating, drinking and laying around and like you commented the shows got very old. Even now on many Celebrity cruises we don’t bother going to the lame production shows as they are still the same and didn’t enjoy the the first time. There are also some guest entertainers that we don’t want to see again. We sail 2 times a year and that is plenty. Passengers will tell us about all of the cruises they have planned and how many they have recently been on and all in the Caribbean because they live near by and it is such a great bargain as they couldn’t eat that cheap at home. We go as a way to escape from the cold for a few days but 14 to 21 days are enough. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. It is ok if in AQ. Wouldn’t pay extra for it. The issue is that it was a AQ perk. Now that others can purchase a pass and with the addition of AQ suites the place can get very crowded. On one cruise we went there and all of the loungers were occupied was told to come back 30 minutes later. We did that and the same people were still there. I took a picture. Went back 30 minutes later and still the same. I showed the attendant at the desk. She went in and asked for any one that had been there longer to please leave as passengers are waiting. No one left. Went back another day and it was the same. Out of 7 days we were able to use it once and that was around 6 pm. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. And there are also those that are playing games on their tablets with the sound effects on, doing FaceTime chats, making phone calls, or watching a video with the sound on. One time there was a female with long nails that was using the keyboard on her tablet. It was bad enough that there was a loud tapping that her nails made but she also had the sound turned up and on for every key stroke. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. It is the cruise line advertising that it that they have the most cruises to sell during that period Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. You are correct. I am now 76. 3 years ago I was doing Beachbody P 90 X, Insanity, Focus , Max 30 and etc. Biked around 2500 miles per year. I never took an elevator on any cruises expect for first and last day because of our carry on. Then my right hip started to bother me. I thought it was just something I could stretch out of. It got worse. I was limping around like Walter Brennan. I went to a doctor. My hip was totally deteriorated. I had to have it replaced in 2021. After that I thought my problems were gone. This year my left hip had to be replaced. The 4 th disc in my back has also deteriorated. I am still recovering from the hip replacements. My leg strength still hasn’t recovered. I would have never thought that 2 years would have had that much affect. The doctors tell me I am really doing great and better than most especially for my age. They tell me that I had major surgeries and it takes a lot of time to recover. I don’t accept that. I never signed that contract. YES there is eons of difference, as I was one that was probably in better shape than many 30 year olds but now limited. The mind is willing but the body is weak. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. I am looking at one that is in St Thomas Destination Highlight: Amazing Mountain Views and Villa Botanica. This tour is not suitable for guests who are blind or deaf. I am sure that many wouldn’t be suitable for those that are blind, but the blind can do many amazing things. I am sure that a snorkeling tour wouldn’t be suitable but they could still experience the boat ride, floating in the sea, laying on a beach and feeling the sand under their feet. The blind could still experience the scents, touch, and sounds. The deaf could still see everything. I guess not being suitable doesn’t mean not allowed. My daughter is a track coach for the girls team for a middle school. She had a totally blind runner that was also in a class she had. She was the best on the team. There were students from the HS track team that guided her on a tether. She would walk home from school after practice because the school buses weren’t running . My daughter would offer a ride but she wouldn’t accept it. She would also ski down hill on a tether Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. I am not sure but the window washing scaffold may obstruct part of the view from the port side. It may bother some. Merry Christmas 🎄 And Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. I found the area disappointing. The loungers were very difficult to get into. They are very close to each other and the overhead slanted window doesn’t allow much head room. I am fairly flexible and have BMI of 23. I am sure larger passenger would have a tough time. Those different rooms are a waste of space. To me they were rather boring and don’t serve any purpose. Sitting in a room with a salt block or a crystal? The shower alley isn’t as nice as those shower stalls on the other classes. Walk thru a corridor like a car going thru a car wash. Only thing missing was the spray of soap at the start and maybe body lotion at the end. We also found that the loungers weren’t as comfortable as those on the S class and during the day the sun would beat on you’ve assured they are under the slanted glass window. We were on the Apex doing B2B for 14 days in AQ and only used the place 2 times. Those swinging chairs are useless and not comfortable. I think the area is like most stuff on the E class that is for design and not function. This is our opinion and I am sure others will disagree Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. We did the Chef table because we had a lot of OBC and everyone raved about it. Very disappointing. They had 11 of us crowded around a table for 8. The chef or his rep didn't do anything except announce what was to be served. Didn’t explain anything about it. If we had better table mates it may have been more enjoyable. One was the food expect that thought he knew everything about food and criticized everything. Another couple constantly complained about how slow the service was and were in a rush. They left before the deserts were served. We knew they were going to be a problem because they started when we were waiting in the bar to do the kitchen tour. Another couple kept interrupting the senior officer by telling him that they weren’t interested in the subjects he was talking about and always tried to change the topic. Then there was a couple that felt they had put on a display of a loud orgasm with every mouthful of food. My wife and I just sat there and tried to enjoy the dinner. It would have been better to book the restaurant, had a table for two and be able to select from the menu. This was our experience. Hopefully others had better. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
