In Consierge you will also be able to attend an embarkation lunch in one of the MDR. The party that isnβt in C will not be able to attend. They are very strict about that. They have a check list with your name. If they donβt see your name you donβt get in. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I think the confusion is you referred to it as a departure lounge instead of embarkation lounge. π€·ββοΈ Hppy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Live From Celebrity Constellation 3/11-3/23
miched replied to jam19872016's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I have had Sue as a cd on a few cruises. She always seemed to stop and talk with everyone she sees but then says I canβt talk as I am very busy and have to go. Then why stop while we are sitting having a coffee? One time I made a comment about the lack of and bad entertainment. She said that she didnβt have any control over that and has to work with what the main office sends. On another cruise when she stopped to βtalkβ I commented about one act and also how good all of the entertainment was. Her response, thank you, I personally hand pick the entertainers for my cruises. I do believe that they do have some input but they are limited to what is available so both of her responses would be true. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
It may claim to be private but it is very crowded. There is a coffee pot, and some pastries set up on a table. If you think the buffet is a Petri dish stay away from that table. It is unsupervised and gets very nasty looking. Sometimes it will be held in a main dining room because there are so many that have that benefit. On one cruise there were over 1500 elite and above. Actually I donβt remember anyone checking if I was elite or above when entering. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

What is the issue with the buffet? We were on the Beyond in Feb in AQ doing a B2B. The buffet was fine. There were plenty of tables available and the selections were great. Personally we donβt find the CC lunch that great. Limited menu and nothing special. We had as a benefit doing a B2B on that cruise. Went because it was that benefit. Would have been better going to the buffet. Wouldnβt book a CC just to get that. Actually I shouldnβt make this post as all the passengers that go elsewhere such as Luminae, Raw on 5, and etc. helps to keep the buffet less crowded. π±π€π€·ββοΈπ€« This is my opinion and I am sure many will disagree. So be it Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Donβt waste your time taking the photo. You donβt need it and they wonβt use it. They will use the one that they will take as you check in at the port. It doesnβt matter how it looks as you will rarely if ever see it. It isnβt something that will be displayed on your drivers license, passport, or sea pass card. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

We were recently in a SS. There were 8 pairs in the closet and another couple pair left in a drawer. We left all of them and didnβt use any. They are very cheap and donβt fit well. Years ago we took 2 pair home. Our 8 year old granddaughter was wearing one pair at our house. We seen many little black pieces on our floor. It was the little knobbies on the sole of the slippers breaking off. You are not missing anything. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

This happens to the chairs at the bar and the tables at the side of the bar toward the Eden Cafe. There are also some seats as you enter Eden that people think are good but people will stand in front of you. Hard to explain but when you enter the area you will understand the areas I am referring to. There arenβt many good seats available for the amount of passengers in either venue. I would guess 50. 75 would be pushing it. Could be wrong but we were basically shut out of both because of the crowd. We got to both areas at least 30 minutes before showtime and all chairs were filled. We left as Iwe didnβt want to stand there for 30 minutes waiting for the show. Happy cruising. ππ’πΊπΈπ

All of my bookings have increased. Celebrity and other cruise lines are like the furniture, and appliance stores. There is always a sale. Sale doesnβt mean a lower price. It means their products or merchandise is available to purchase. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Eden and the Club are terrible areas for any show. The Club is the worse. The sight lines are very bad unless you are in the front rows. Eden is almost as bad. Not many seats to watch the show. It gets to be standing room and depending on where you are sitting people will stand in front of you. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Years ago we were at a RV show. There was 30 ft travel trailer that slept 16. I asked the salesperson what would you tow it with? He said any full size car or truck. I said what vehicle would carry 16 people? The sleeping arrangements were ridiculous. This pulled out, that pulled down. People were staked over and around each other. The person at the back would have to enter first and etc. if someone needed to get the the lav too bad. I think they would have to crawl and climb over to get there. Then think about all of the bedding, their clothing and the food. We had a converted custom van like many people did in the 70βs. They looked nice and seemed practical for traveling but one you put in the bedding, clothing and anything else there wasnβt much space left. Basically the outside at the camp ground was your living space. The van was your bed and means of transportation. It was rather awkward getting dressed but it was me, my wife, our 4 year old son, and 6 year old daughter. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

It would be better to get an inside cabin or outside cabin for two of them. It canβt be much more and would be a lot better. Just the closet space and bath arrangements would be worth any cost difference not to mention the sleeping arrangements of having a bed. Donβt be penny wise and dollar foolish. Lay out a 8 ft by 16 ft room and imagine 4 people in that area. Too crowded for me. Happy cruising π’πΊπΈπ

There were times when I took the cushions off of the sofa and put them on the balcony. I would lay on them gazing at the stars and fall asleep. Very peaceful as I wasnβt kept awake from my wifeβs snoring. π±π€«. Just another option. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Here we go again... LIVE from Beyond, February 19, 2024
miched replied to mac_tlc's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I googled how much Celebrity Captains make out of curiosity. Captain Kate came up. It gave a range plus mentioned her earrings from social media. Doesnβt really say how much but I am sure it is worth her effort and self promotion. She is no dummy. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
Blu does not take or require reservations. First come first served. If you want you can also dine in any of the main dining rooms. I have never done that but I think some do. It is like any restaurant. If you get there 30 minutes after they open you may have to wait for a table to open. Get there when they open or about 1 hour or so later when the early birds are wrapping up. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Best sleeping comfort for 3rd adult in an inside cabin on Beyond?
miched replied to C-sea's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Sleep on the loungers on pool deck or in the Solarium. There is also a mezzanine off of the pool deck that has loungers and sofas that over looks the Solarium. The Solarium has padded loungers. If you decide to be by the pool you can star gaze and have a reserved lounger before the chair hogs get there. We were on the Beyond 2 weeks ago and walked thru the pool deck and all the loungers had something on them to βreserveβ them at 6 am. Same in the Solarium. Eden also has some nice loungers on the second tier. Take some blankets and be good to go or use some towels. π€. There are also some couches available around the ship. π€·ββοΈ The great thing amour sleeping in any of those places is the snoring of your traveling partners wonβt bother you. π€ Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
Decoy wine in Luminae and retreat no up charge
miched replied to George C's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Donβt understand the corkage fee. We were on the Constellation last week in a SS and Decoy was included. It was also included in the premium pack when we were on the Beyond a few months ago. Get in touch with Guest Relations or better yet the host in the Retreat lounge. Something is fishy. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
We recently did a MSC in Yacht Club, and the Retreat on Celebrity. We booked 2 cruises on MSC and none on Celebrity. We have 2 more already booked on Celebrity but when done we may not book anymore. On Celebrity we did not see any butlers. The room attendant took their place. In the past the butler would see you walking down the hall and would open your door. See you carrying a drink and would carry it for you and insist on doing that. We would normally ask for coffee in the morning to be delivered to the cabin. It seemed to be more of a hassle and the one time we asked for it we felt as if we were annoying them. MSC provided the service that Celebrity use to. Celebrity needs to up their game instead making more cuts with higher prices. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I purchased a future booking certificate and left it with Celebrity. I was told that I would have 30 days after booking a cruise to transfer it to a TA. WRONG. I booked a cruise and found a TA I wanted to transfer to. Used the transfer form and it was denied because it was beyond the 30 days of purchasing the certificate. The right hand doesnβt know what the left hand is doing. Typical with Celebrity. If I ever purchase another (doubt that I will as I just got off of a MSC cruise in the YC that puts Celebrity to shame), I will get it in writing signed by the Future Cruise salesperson. Letting kids in the Solarium for a couple of hours-Opinions?
miched replied to cruisekitty22's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Let them enjoy themselves. How many adults are there at that time and sometimes the adults are worse than the children. I use to use those cess pools but no longer desire to. Got older and wiser. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
I think it is the nature of some people to be miserable and complain. Eventually it is expected for them to be like that. The problem is when they are like that they are happy. If you gave them a twenty dollar bill they would complain if it was dirty, or wrinkled, or not enough. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I donβt know why they call it anytime. It is walk up during the hours that it is open. The same as any land based restaurant. I think you can make reservations. Check with the host on the first night or look in your manage your reservations. I canβt say f_r sure as things always change and I get confused between crusie lines Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Follow your nose. Do what you want to do and discover the ship. Don't try to follow and do exactly as others do. You may miss something that you really like. Check out the Eden area. There is a bar, and a cafe. It is open to all and different than the Eden restaurant. It is one of our favorite places to hang out. The bar is a hybrid of the WCB and Sky Lounge giving a view of the wake. Read the reviews and then sift the chaff from the sand. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

What type of cabin are you in? I have never got an email inviting me to the Chefs Table. π On the serious side we did the Chefs table. As a previous poster mentioned the table mates make the difference. We had a bunch of arrogant very rude table mates. Not a pleasant experience as they knew more than the chef, criticized every course, and the way it was being served, told the officer joining us that they werenβt interested in what he was talking about and etc. i wouldnβt risk paying that much again for the same to happen. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

The cruise lines always make it appear to be better than what you actually get. They always show the ultimate but in reality it isnβt what you are really getting unless you pay the ultra premium price. They donβt show the disclaimer that there is a extra charge Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ
