  1. It may be different in different parts of the world, but our combined OBC has always shown on My Celebrity when I log in to my account.
  2. Thank you for the explanation. So what I said in post #56 : If you are saying your cruise is $69.40 CAD per person per night for a balcony on your 12 night cruise, that is absolutely amazing! ($833 CAD divided by 12 nights) Enjoy your cruise!
  3. I may be wrong, but all I can find on the website is $10 for Classic and $17 for Premium. There has been quite a bit of discussion on the subject recently, as it seems several popular wines have been pushed above the Classic and Premium caps, thus attracting an extra charge plus gratuity.
  4. Yes, of course! However, I have no idea what you are actually trying to convey with the words : "we at $833 CAD a person in a balcony"
  5. So, can you explain just what you mean by "we at $833 CAD a person in a balcony"?
  6. If you are saying your cruise is $69.40 CAD per person per night for a balcony on your 12 night cruise, that is absolutely amazing! On the other hand if you are saying $833 CAD per person per night for a balcony on your 12 night cruise, that is way too much.
  7. "We arrived in Tauranga - the 3rd largest city in New Zealand." By area - yes, but by population it slips to 5th with a population of 158,300. Auckland - 1.7 million Wellington - 542,000 Christchurch - 389,000 Hamilton - 179,000
  8. Elegance wines were on the premium package on Solstice in November - but that was before the new pricing was introduced.
  9. https://www.executivetraveller.com/news/bali-visa-on-arrival-tourist-tax Included in the change are Australia, China, India, South Korea, the United States, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, New Zealand, Italy and Spain, as well as countries related to investment contributions and the economic impact on Indonesia including the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
  10. Whether they think we are stupid or not, it certainly looks like they have little comprehension of the words they use. Enhancement : the state or quality of being elevated, heightened, or increased, as in quality, degree, intensity, or value. *elevated (higher or greater than normal) *heightened (raised in quantity or quality) *increased (made greater in amount or value) We will do our March cruise in a Sunset Sky Suite and depending on our experience on that cruise will either do or cancel two other (fully refundable) booked cruises.
  11. "Maman" in post 1078 was instantly recognisable - we saw it in Bilbao some years ago.
  12. We have seen people lined up for dinner at Blu before opening on both Eclipse and Solstice during the past 12 months.
  13. The Australian White Ibis are definitely not afraid of humans! They are scavengers and we call them "Bin Chickens" because of their nuisance habits.
  14. Confined to quarters due to illness contracted on board, you should be reimbursed the cost of your excursion. In the past I have been reimbursed for the missed excursion as well as a goodwill payment for missed enjoyment of the "cruise day." I would ask to see Shore Excursions Manager.
  15. 24 hours is still the current policy - until 31 December.2023. 48 hours will be the new policy - from 1 January 2024 - it is not yet current. It is nice to see at last that celebrity has provided notice of a change - even though it is short notice.
  16. Years 11 and 12 have finished already. Most others will finish in the week before Christmas.
  17. When in a Sky Suite, your Room Attendant changes hats when he/she enters your room and becomes your Retreat Host - printed on his/her card for Sky Suites.
  18. Celebrity really should employ proof readers who know what they are supposed to be checking before anything goes for printing!
  19. As far as I recollect, those activities don't include using the speaker, or even talking.
  20. We have always placed our request a few days before boarding. Apart from anything else, it decreases the workload of the stateroom attendant / retreat host on the very busy changeover day, as that work does not have to be undone and redone. For the first time, our room was not ready (in many aspects) on our Solstice cruise in October. It was not finished until the evening, after dinner.
  21. Not all beds are able to be split. I would contact Celebrity to check and if necessary change rooms.
  22. Similar experience on Solstice last month! 😒
  23. I would not call it "fretting" I see this post as calling out Celebrity on a "mistake" that cost the OP money. It is as she said the Principle of the situation and the more it is ignored the more it will happen!
  24. Throughout our "cruising life" - some 60 or so cruises over several cruise lines - we have always given feedback - both praise and drawing attention to areas requiring action while on board. That is when one will get something fixed - if it is able to be fixed. Post cruise surveys often do not have space allocated for detailed comment and nothing noted as not right in a post cruise survey will be made right for the cruise just finished. Hopefully it may be addressed for future cruisers. While social media is not the place to make an isolated complaint, it is useful for bringing to the attention of others various aspects of one's cruise experience - both good and not so good - and how problems were addressed when noted on board.
  25. Some suites will feature true king-size beds, and these typically do not split into two single beds. You may need to contact Celebrity or your TA to check whether your chosen suite has a bed that is able to be split.
