Some times the basic fare is nonrefundable. With have it all would be refundable. The $800.00 remember to add the 1.35 exchange rate. I think a better comparison for is to evaluate is to find out what the advantage fare is, ( refundable) then do the comparison between advantage and HIA. The HIA without added gratuities is a deal breaker for me. Right now I book some cruises with HIA for 2025 includes everything and gratuities, so works out pretty good.

I went to every craft class on the Grand South America Volendam and there was not a charge for the classes. Classes were on three times per day. 10:00 am. 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The 2:00om and 4:00pm classes were not full. There were quite a few of us who want everyday at 10:00am. There was also a free watercolour class twice per day at 9:00 am and 1:00pm.

Hi, we just got it applied for three cruises two in fall 2023 and one in 2024. Email world cruise desk, address not important just your shareholder statement showing at least 100 share owning, cross off account number, provide to them your Hal Booking number and ask for an email confirming. I got the one email response for the three cruises, and I printed off that email three times and put a copy of that email in each of my paperwork that I am bringing for each cruise.

Yes it is more because the price you see is the Canadian equivalent. If you calculate it out, which I did the other day it is approx 27% exchange rate, much better then the posted rate. I prepay gratuities for that reason.

Hi Mary, The OP is from the Netherlands, if the cruise was not originally booked in U.S. dollars, gift cards can’t be used to pay for cruise fares. I am from Canada, my fares are based in Canadian dollars. I can only use gift cards, to purchase shore excursions, I can also pre-purchase OBC or of course wait until I board and go to customer service and add the value to my onboard account. (If digital gift card, bring paper copy of card number showing PIN also)

Hi Rich, Noticed the ship is scheduled for Ocho Rios today. We are due to be there in a couple of weeks, having Grand Cayman just being cancelled. Lots of people posting that they plan to stay on the ship due to personal safety concerns. Are you or anyone you know planning to get off the ship? Would love to hear about the day/port.

We just signed up for Verifly and uploaded our picture and vaccination certificate in less than two minutes. It is the same function as Princess medallion. We did our first medallion cruise in September, loaded everything in a few minutes even having never used it before, If it is taking people longer than five or ten minutes it is due to user error.

Haven’t done it yet we are on Grand S.A. leaving January 3rd, our self test protocol is three days, so would be December 31st, however in verify manual entry indicates we can upload test result as early as December. 30th at 4:00 pm. I am going to wait until the 31st, just thought it was interesting for the earlier time. I am still going to print out everything, even the picture of our test result in case on no verify line. We will still have to manually show Y.F. Vaccination anyhow even if verify line is there.

Doesn’t sound like a good start. Hopefully you can find your email confirmations on your pre purchases. I pre print mine just in case something like this would happen. Hope they put your mother in a better cabin category. How does the ship look, is it all decorated for the holidays, that is one of our bucket cruises to do.
