Full suites (GS and above) will have option for breakfast in Chops or Giovanni's...but no dining perks. Jr. Suite...same as all other cabin levels. Pay as you go. 😉

Yes we did. 🙂 Both Allure and Wonder. Plus a month out in Willamette Valley wine country, and setting up our daughter's wedding out there. It's great to reconnect to our friends on board again. And of course...what crew members are still here, that we were on board with during first quarter. Having a great time!!

Yup...I barely look any longer. The prices just keep going up...not down.

We definitely want to do Silverseas. We are booked up into mid 2026...but am on the hunt for the 26/27 season. 🙂

What works for us is the split up. First quarter, 63 nights. Hop off in LA, rejoin in Barcelona for the last quarter, 62 nights.

I seriously doubt it. From what I hear and read....RCI lost money on this cruise. It is still suffering from stupid snafus. Like when we were rejoining the cruise in Barcelona last week for fourth quarter. The usual check in process at the terminal went well, we get up to the "ding in" on the life boat deck and they told us we could not check in without our sea pass card. Whaaatt???? Told the security woman that we don't get the card until we board the ship. She said corporate orders no one on without sea pass card. Waiting in the hot Barcelona sun on deck for over half hour while they finally realized stupid was not working. 😣 They had to check us in manually, since our printed out set sail pass did not work. By then there were two long lines waiting to ding in. We also had major snafus upon checking in for first quarter in Miami. I for one, will never do a Royal WC again!!!!

Changes for the best IMHO: Drink vouchers, Muster Drill (the best!). Though many cut backs on various things...that all add up. Mostly I think Royal was hoping we would not notice them missing. 😉

I keep mine on airplane mode, connect to ship WIFI, and use WIFI calling. Pretty simple for me. In fact our cell service is so bad at home, I keep it like that as well...otherwise I can't use my phone for actual phone calls. AT&T crappy cell signal coverage...and we live in a large community...not out in the country. 😕

We were not watching on the app in the beginning...then had to go through the lifejacket demo and questions. Finally got smart and watched on app just before. They don't even ask us if we watched the video any longer. The "complete" is shown on their records as well as ours. Nice. 🙂

Yes, I agree with you on that point. Shame what Key West is suffering also. The residents (as in Southwest Harbor Maine) voted to ban large cruise ships. The vote stands in Southwest Harbor Maine, but our Governor from Florida stuck down the vote the Key West people did...and won't ban the cruise ships. IMHO...the cruise ships have ruined that sweet little iconic town on our southern end. Real shame. But the deal with the protestors in Barcelona WAS about the short term rentals and the housing shortage that drive the cost of affordable housing way up for the locals. One only needs to read the news articles and the interviews. They are indeed trying to get city leaders to limit those short term rentals. I was in Barcelona on Tuesday and Wednesday last week...just a couple of days after that protest. All was calm again. I did talk to many of the locals who echoed what I mentioned about the housing problem. They had no problem with the cruise pax. We paid big bucks for a boutique hotel, had all our meals at restaurants, shopped, and paid for transport before we boarded our ship. The bulk of Barcelona cruise pax are coming and going. It is not just a port of call, it is more of an embarkation port. Those pax are spending money in town the same as I did post and pre cruise. It's a big boom to the restaurants, hotels, and taxi drivers. Which many locals obviously work for.

Not even close. The protesters have a problem with the short term rentals that the tourists are using, which limits the supply of available homes and drives up the cost of housing for them. They had no problem with tourists staying on a cruise ship...which does nothing to hurt their real estate market. You need to actually research this subject. 😑

The protesters were walking along the outdoor cafes shouting rude comments at the diners at the tables and shooting water guns at them. No injuries that I am aware of, just rude and crude of them. Maybe we should tell the Barcelona residents, if they want to be that way...they will not be welcome to come to Orlando to visit Mickey Mouse!! 😄 😄

We were in Barcelona this last Tuesday and Wednesday. No protests, felt safe walking around, but very busy with tourists. The protests were all on the previous Saturday. They received the media attention they wanted and have tamed down again.

Me neither. We are on January 20th. And we are connecting to Orion after our circumnavigation cruise from Sydney round trip. Flights are booked. Pre and post cruise extensions paid for.

My broker laughed at me when I told him I wanted to buy the stock. Bought just for the OBC credits, buying the required 100 shares. Tried to get me to sell it when it starting to trend down, but bottomed out and started back up. He is not laughing now. 😄

I was one of those posters. We are doing a B2B on Orion. Starting from Milwaukee, through the seaway, up the coast of Greenland with 5 ports and continue to the NW passage. We never go to Iceland....but probably will on the flight back as a connection. 😉

Thank for pointing that out that I was posting comments about Silverseas and other ships that were docked next to us....that I Observed and had Thoughts and Impressions of our cruise ship neighbors while On the World Cruise. But for some reason I did not post my other adventures on Wonder and Allure while off ship before rejoining. 😄 😉 But no...I am enjoying my cruise again, love being back on board, and reconnecting with many friends who welcomed us back warmly. Thanks to all for the kind comments. But once again, I am just along for the ride this time. 🥰

OK...dumb question. Have not booked on board a Celebrity ship yet. Is the OBC only for "book later" option....or do you still get it if you book and put down deposit on the spot with the rep at Next Cruise?

And thus can print luggage tags and set sail pass from there. I don't sail out of that city, so was not sure it that part was different. Thanks. 🙂
