  1. It is a multi step process. The price being protected is the last step. There can be days between each step
  2. They took away the ability to pick preferences online long before we had supply chain issues
  3. 1. Royal stopped testing B2B cruisers about 3 months ago. No mention has been made of restarting that process. 2. Just let guest services know on your first cruise sltjough they should already know. 3. There us a dpecizm process. You do not take your luggage off. It either stays in your room or gets moved to your new room. Details on meeting times and procedures will be delivered to your stateroom during yje first cruise.
  4. Royal no longer allows downlining and this is very similar. I would be surprised if they allowed this.
  5. My daughter is turning 21 this fall and our Christmas sailing will be her first where she can "officially" drink😉 All she wanted was the beverage package as her 4 for Diamond were not enough🙄. Looks like I will use her 4 plus my 5. Should be a good cruise...
  6. It's only people on here that refer to them as that. Royal just calls them consecutive cruises whether they are on the same ship or not.
  7. Our FB group for our Ovation cruise 2 weeks ago had lots of people posting that they tested positive after the cruise. Many said that they never took elevators, sanitized their rooms, did not go to crowded shows, wore masks whenever in a public area etc, etc yet they still caught it. Us, we all tested negative after the cruise and did not do anything different than we did when we cruised in 2019. If the virus is going to find you it will.
  8. Not sure about the prorating as I have not experienced that. Yes groups still get the full commission if it is cancelled in the 100% penalty phase. It has nothing to do with when the commission is actually paid. It actually makes sense with the group not being paid until after they sail as there is a secondary part of the commission (tour conductor credit) that cannot be calculated until the guests actually sail.
  9. Like everything Royal there is no one set answer. For FIT bookings (Free independent traveler) the commission is paid when the booking is paid in full. If the guest cancels during a penalty phase the commission will be recalled unless it is in 100% penalty then the commission is protected. If the booking is in a group then the commission is paid when the group sails. If the TA works for an agency then that agency may dictate when the agents portion of the commission is paid to the agent.
  10. No fees to cancel prior to sailing Yes it includes the specialty coffee
  11. I'm seeing them on Cruising Power. Royals website for TA's and much more reliable than their consumer site
  12. All the sailings are back up now with original dates
  13. Yes people are still being moved. Cabins were blocked off to accommodate guests on BR. It will take a few weeks to get everyone moved over
  14. Ho yo the box office or guest services. Diamond or suite concierge can also help of you are eligible.
  15. The sailing is closed for new bookings regardless of stateroom occupancy. Cabins cannot even be waitlisted. Travel agents holding group space can still book guarantee cabins in several categories though.
  16. Public schools are off in March. The 19th to the 26th is a popular week for the universities to have their reading week.
  17. I'm seeing one thread on the first page and if you scroll back to pages 2 and beyond there are many more. Some have been locked and some have just died out as it is several days old news
  18. It all depends on ship and cabin steward. I've had compasses delivered on all 4 sailings since February. Indy, Symphony and Ovation
  19. Not covered under CWC You will have a $100pp penalty. Any deposit amount above that would be issued as an FCC (If deposit was $250pp then $100 penalty and $150 FCC. Any money paid above the deposit amount would be refunded.
