  1. Hi @wheezedr, your situation is called a S2S, a side to side. opposed to a B2B.
  2. Hi @mtnesterz, you understand there is no free access to steam/sauna as they were removed from the changing rooms on this ship, so assume you mean disappointed they were removed. Your statement would lead someone to think there is now a ‘fee’ to use.
  3. Hi @Pluto_fan, there is currently a live from Sapphire on her way back to LA. I suggest you post any questions on that thread. I believe Sapphire has a dry dock scheduled next month? I know bigger sister ship Emerald had the steam and saunas removed to make room for accessible treatment rooms in the spa, but have not heard Princess plans to do this to the rest of the ‘Grand’ class ships.
  4. Hi @CharmedLifer, I believe you might be looking for the TP Majestic sailing? I believe since this is such a long sailing, it is not available to pre book. I just checked my 11 day sailing on the Crown for May, and it was available to pre book, of course on the Crown, it is the ‘Thermal Suite’. Price for 11 days is $216.
  5. I believe this area is ‘different’ depending on the ship ‘class’. Royal class ship this area is called the ‘Enclave’ and on non Royal ships it is the ‘Thermal Suite’, so I assume you will be on a non Royal Class ship to Alaska? Check out YouTube for videos so can compare the size and amenities offered. Some Princess ‘Grand’ class ships still have a free sauna and steam room located in the changing rooms by the fitness center. Sometimes, you can prebook and get discount, otherwise tour on day1 and decide if amenities are adequate.
  6. Hi @Ombud, the Princess websites seems to ‘default’ to ‘F’ if available if you select Princess chooses your cabin, but other categories besides ‘F’ are usually available as GTY, so it is still possible to book a GTY cabin with refundable deposits. The Princess booking process does not make this easy to understand. A passenger may want to book a non ‘F’ GTY cabin since those are usually the farthest forward or aft cabins. Each passenger should decide if choosing ‘GTY’ is a risk they are willing to accept. There is a popular YouTuber who states he will not book GTY cabin as he is very particular about his cabin location and always marks ‘no upgrade’. We also know marking no upgrade does not guarantee the Cruiseline will not move you.
  7. I believe this only applies to categories that have the second letter being ‘F’, as in usually the lowest interior ‘IF’ or balcony ‘BF’. I think I saw a post where someone said minisuites do not have ‘MF’ , so do not apply to minisuites? So, if you are booking GTY(guarantee) in a category that ends with ‘F’, your deposit will probably now be non refundable. Refundable deposits still available for GTY as long as cabin category does not end in a ‘F’. For a 2024 sailing, if I booked GTY category’IF’ it was non refundable deposits , but if I booked GTY ‘IE’ , it was refundable and qualified for reduced $50 deposit promo, and have option to add $100 Princess FCD to get OBC associated with using a FCD as long as it is added to booking before final payment.
  8. Also keep in mind, the company that handles the bidding for upgrade program, is collecting data on how much passengers are willing to ‘bid’. There will always be the possibility of last minute cancellations, but I have seen posts on other lines saying why are bids being asked for as that category has been sold out.
  9. I do not believe you are subject to any ‘limit’ and Princess may take and store till the end of the sailing, but you are subject to ‘duty’ by customs. If you will not be consuming on the ship, you will not be subject to ‘corkage’. Not sure if the limits have changed but, but you should check what allowances you are entitled and plan on possible ‘charges’ if you go over the limit.
  10. $15/day is if you are purchasing for the whole voyage. If you only want a single day the price is $20/day and if you qualify for discount then only $10, I believe for 24hr period, not calendar day. This is also the price for one device. Princess allows you to switch among devices so easy to share, can only have one device ‘active’ at a time. Higher price for if you need multiple devices active at same time up to 4. Prices should be in cruise Personalizer if you have a cruise booked or Medallion APP.
  11. Hi @blloydtbird, Princess also has some interesting 10 and 11 day roundtrip Vancouver itineraries that I don’t remember they have offered before, which are not the 7 day northbound/southbound B2B that I think the previous poster is referencing as 14 day. I have done the 14 day B2B Vancouver and it is nice to know you will repeat many ports so less stress about trying to do it all, since you will be back.
  12. The only ship that I have seen has reported coffee swaps from mini bar and 15 coffee pkg still available has been the Discovery. So if you are not on the Discovery, expect to be disappointed. It can’t be too long before Discovery follows is my thinking.
  13. Hi @gottagocit, I believe Princess also removed the complimentary steam and sauna’s in the changing rooms at the Gym. Heard they expanded some spa treatment rooms for accessibility. Have not heard if Princess plans to do this to her sister ships.
  14. Depending on when you booked, the ‘Plus’ package added $40/$50/$60 a day per person when you booked and came with a few extra amenities if you booked at the $60 price point, which are a couple extra premium ‘desserts’ and a couple of fitness classes. if you booked directly with Princess, you can call them and have them adjust your booking and have the package removed, if you used a travel agent, they own the booking and you need to call them to make the change, they will be a little disappointed as the plus package is a Commissionable portion of the cruise fare. Assume you did not book a special non refundable pay in full now fare, so you are well before final payment date and should be able to revise your booking by removing the ‘Plus’ package.
  15. For ‘normal’ bookings on ship, you can designate to have your future booking with the travel agent you used to book the current sailing if any. The no transfer was specifically for these special 50% off sailings offered on board to on board passengers only and sail by mid May 2023. Are you referring to these same promo 50% off sailings regarding being able to transfer?
  16. Actually, Princess has been known to do this complimentary upgrade for accessible cabins, maybe because there are so few? There is a current thread regarding this same issue for the Island Princess late December 2023 sailing. Thru the Princess website booking process, the passenger is trying to book an OV accessible cabin, princess says sorry no OV accessible left, but we will upgrade you to Balcony for same OV fare and displays this fare and the balcony cabins left you can select. Unfortunately, when you get the confirmation email or go directly to the cruise Personalizer to check the payments page, the fare listed is the Balcony fare not the OV fare shown throughout the booking process. Fortunately as suggested, the OP of this wrong price thread did a screenshot and eventually was able to speak to Princess agent today and they corrected the pricing, so they honored the upgrade. I think the OP of this thread said he eventually cancelled the cruise with the upgrade and now is dealing with being double charged for a different sailing for upgrade to premier from plus package, which if he had been reading current threads, he could have done on day 1 or 2 of his sailing and not deal with current mess.
  17. I submitted email last Sunday and benefit was posted on Tuesday for cruise in June 2023. Last Wednesday submitted for cruise in August 2023 and benefit posted the next day, yesterday Thursday. Seems odd your request has not been completed since I obviously sent both of mine after you.
  18. Hi @SCX22, the future cruise person specifically said, no you cannot transfer to travel agent for this promo. Depending on your booking and sailing date, since you paid in full and possibly past normal final payment date, you would not be allowed to transfer. Just passing on what I was told in January on the Discovery . The person just boarded that day and was new as the pervious agents were being transferred to another ship and this was disembarkation day. He also did not know how to do a solo booking, as I was traveling with a friend in my cabin, and he knew only how to pull the info from current sailing, since you had to be on the ship to book this promo and I wanted to check pricing on going solo before May.
  19. I believe on Princess ships, your slot balance is on your Medallion, no tickets. As posted previously, time is running out, we just don’t know how much sand left in the hourglass, if you understand what I mean.
  20. Delta should be able to tell you how your booking has changed if their codeshare flight with ITA(I believe they are the former Alitalia) was cancelled or changed. i had an itinerary with DL with Air France code share from SEA to CDG, Airfrance decided they were not going to fly to CDG on that day and my itinerary was adjusted to the next day. I called DL who then changed my ticket to my preferred available routing.
  21. I was on the Discovery in January and the future cruise rep said these special 50% off bookings had to be paid in full and booked direct with Princess, cannot use a FCD or transfer to travel agent.
  22. This is why many have wondered why Princess has the same name for the ‘stand alone’ beverage package and the bundle with WiFi and Tips. My understanding is you can buy the stand alone Plus or Premier beverage package on day 1 and passenger2 does not. This really is for when passenger2 does not drink alcohol or other drinks and you should do the math if this will work for your situation. The plus beverage pkg ‘only’ is about $65 plus 18% per day. You can also buy the Bundles on day 1 and possibly day 2 as reported , but both passengers must purchase, see post #17.
  23. As @Buckeye10640has replied, you cannot use OBC to buy FCD’s as they are fully refundable thus why they are not charged to your on board account but to the credit card on file or any other credit card in your name you wish to use. As I have reported in another thread regarding the Casino and using OBC, the Princess official policy has always been, it cannot be used in the Casino, but currently you can. A passenger earlier this year shared a conversation he had with the hotel general manger who said the Casino will be updating its accounting system, so charges will not go against any OBC, so this loophole is set to close, when we do not know. NCL has had this rule in place for a long time, so any charges in the Casino, will not reduce any OBC in your account. There have been reports on some ships if it is obvious you are using the Casino as an ATM, you will be blocked and possibly have charges reversed.
  24. Hi @Waynetor, I just did the same thing on the US site, and as you have stated when you select you want an accessible cabin and select OV, the system says no accessible OV are available and Princess is upgrading to balcony cabin at no extra cost(same as OV rate) and it gives preliminary pricing at OV fare, but when I then go into cruise Personalizer looking at payments, the fare listed is the regular Balcony rate over $3000 not the $2108 per person USD fare shown thru the booking process. Call as soon as Princess opens tomorrow if you really want this sailing. A few years ago, a similar situation happened when I was booking for relatives who needed an accessible cabin and I think it was also the Island Princess. While booking, the website said no OV accessible was available and Princess was upgrading to balcony accessible for same OV fare. I don’t remember all the details, but I remember a call to passenger relations with screen shot of page with notice of complimentary upgrade to next category . Princess honored to complimentary upgrade and the fare of the lower OV fare for the balcony.
  25. I do not have the specifics of what ‘system’ is planned on being updated, I am just relaying info that was posted by a previous passenger who says Princess has plans to close the loophole of using shipboard OBC(refundable and non refundable) in the Casino. So yes, currently when you charge in the Casino, it deducts OBC ,if any, from your shipboard account. Princess has been known to implement changes slowly and suddenly, like eliminating the coffee card/package of 15 specialty coffees.
