  1. Nobody knows, and pointless to speculate. I am on the Nov 20th Silhouette 10 day so I'm in that time frame. Not as simple to change it one day and then expect the suppliers to be able to have the new provisions needed. This will take time to move along and get the supply companies up and running. I can see maybe the Port Everglades being able to maybe get up and running quicker than European and Australian embarkation ports. But this now is wait and see what transpires.
  2. This unfortunately is not offered for my Nov 20th cruise, but for next years TA it was available so Im okay with it. I keep checking the Nov 20th to see if it magically appears but doubt it will.
  3. Highly doubt you will see any company, very rare occasions, ohh our product sucks and need to improve the quality. That if anything will be done in background and watch feedback on. More Choices and options yes they will announce, or in this case going back to what they had in past.
  4. All a numbers game, the sales all come out to approx the same, Best bet is book once the cruises come out as those tend, not always, be the best prices, and or find a TA that does group blocks, my preference overall is the TA as I have gotten substantial savings around 35% plus off the celebrity site
  5. Wish they could go back to these, unfortunately I believe Michel Roux has passed away a few years back.
  6. Kind of find it funny looking at the small print up to x amount of dollars savings based on Quad occupancy.
  7. Agree I think changes on the menu will be happening a bunch of times so I will look at it as a guide at this point. Truth will be told when onboard, as many people pointed out quality is just as important as the reversals taking place.
  8. I see it in a different view, yes it was very informal but hospitality executives who run a travel business that caters mainly to vacations, do you really want them to be all formal and professional in the approach. There would be much more disconnect to the customer that way. I have seen the very formal approach it in the many places I worked/ran/consulted with in the hospitality industry and those places had a complete disconnect with their customer base especially if it was a resort type property. It is still a wait and see approach on this, and what cutbacks that were done reversed. I got the information I needed very easily and will see what happens when I sail Nov 20th, hopefully reverses will be on that cruise.
  9. So 2 things stood out for me Great they are reversing but mainly also the complete disconnect that exists from corporate to ship and customers. Maybe this was a wake up call who knows i sail on Nov 20-Dec 4 on the silhouette hoping the changes are in affect. In general they tried to get away with the food changes but did not win. Will see what happens they had a lot of disconnect over the past year with these changes and if the food goes back that’s a big plus
  10. People cancel, still might be blocks held by travel groups etc.
  11. : Hopefully you have your original booking documents that show all this. It should show in your order history on the cruise planner website on Celebrity, does not show tips paid, but I have that info from my booking documents.
  12. It would also be a no for me. Should be one of the spaces kept as Adult only. I use this area especially Caribbean cruises during the days for sea days and also days I do not go ashore.
  13. This is one of my cruises, others are different. If your looking and comparing buying each separately the AI rate still is a better deal in the end
  14. Just go on the app and look at current sailings, or any M class ship all have the same bars, and many of the bars are the same on the other classes also.
  15. I had a family member have this happen to, as much as cranberry juice is a good idea, the only cranberry juice usually onboard is the cranberry juice cocktail. Not the pure cranberry juice, so it is not affective.
  16. Okiedokie everything is back to normal.
  17. Dont worry about it, the lunch at LCG is never able to do beforehand, btw do the dinner instead, more choices and food so good. LCG is to me anyway, the best speciality, relaxing and just great food. Just go enjoy the silhouette, its vacation and its a gorgeous ship\
  18. the supply chain is so screwed on these types of things. Also it has been such a bad season in growing and fermenting that who knows what will be available at times. The listed is just a guide at this point.
  19. I looked back at my history of cruises and I probably have but no remeberance if I did or did not. Captains I dont per se pay attention to. The only one that stood out, and I dont even remember the name was on the Constellation after start up. We met the captain at dinner as he took us to our table for dinner. Was so funny, he goes to the hostess, I can navigate a ship, I think I can follow the table set up and get you to your table. the hostess and Matre de were kind of wary of this, as we went to our table in a roundabout way we looked back and had the Matre de, hostess and our waiters following close behind.....was so funny
  20. Clear your cache and cookies etc. I had to do that after not being able to connect on my apple. Was still connecting on my windows laptop, Ie work computer
  21. They will have it out before there Black Friday sales, which is the same as all the other sales but generally around now to thanksgiving things will be released.
  22. Exactly this, always enjoyed the Thanksgiving lunch in OVC they have. Its amazing how fast the changeover is with Christmas decorations that go up
  23. So about 630 last night it was 6.99 then went up to 9.99 around 9 when I looked again. Was at the 9.99 this morning for my TA next year and now it switched again to 6.99. So are we looking at dynamic pricing that switches every cpl hours?
  24. On the app or cruise planner, the app you just need to go to restaurants/dining for your sailing or any current sailing of the ship you're going on and all menus are there, cruise planner described above where you can see sample menu once you start booking.
  25. Depending on how long the cruise is but $150 is a good price for a move up to aqua. Couple things, you have no choice if you win the bid and placed in a room. If location is important and you like your location now then it might be worth staying put. But then $150 pp is a good price, you do get Blu, also get use of the Persian Gardens/Thermal Suite thruout the cruise. Which would be definitely worth it for me, as I do use these every day.
