Free crusie from Royal-HELP!!

Recommended Posts

Just got back from the Serenade and was given a free cruise by the casino host. Dates on the back are not dates i can use- April, May, and June are packed with business trips for me and the list of cruises stops at June 29th. I was going to call Casino Royale tomorrow and see if there were any dates later in the year that would be available. If not- i don't think i can use my certificate, which is not transferable. Has anyone won a cruise they couldn't use? i hate to waste it, but it is just not going to work with my "real life' travel schedule in the next few months.

I just returned from Independence of the Seas and I also "won" a free cruise from the casino host like you. It's part of their new casino VIP program, but I'm not seeing the benefit.

Like you, I'm disappointed with the list of selected cruises over the next three months. I can't cruise that frequently, and that they have a list of less desirable cruises from which to choose makes the offer even less attractive.

NCL on the other hand gave me a comped cruise on pretty much any cruise I selected within the next 18 months based on a similar amount of play.

If it came from the casino host and was not part of some drawing, etc., you did not WIN it. You were awarded a return cruise because they think they can get enough donations from you to cover the cost of the cabin on the next cruise.

And, of course it is not transferable. They want YOU because they know YOU will gamble. If your play was good enough, call and see if they will work with you.

Just how must do u have to play to score a free cruise

Not guaranteed, but this will give you an understanding of how to possibly get invited or comped a free cruise.

You will still have to pay port fees and taxes.

Spend 2-4 hours in the casino every day

Bet $50 per hand at Blackjack

Bet $25 per spin on Roulette

Bet $3 - $5 per spin on slots, roughly $1500 a day

If you fall into this criteria, you will possibly get an invitation to join the CR VIP program

If you base the math on $1500 per day, 7 day cruise, call it $10,500. This will raise someone's attention for sure.

If it does not, ask Casino Host or Casino Manager to be rated.

NOTE: this is just a guesstimate as no member is going to divulge their personal expenditure

Once a member currently it is for life, then you will receive invites to numerous cruises and start to get all the perks.

The magic formula is based on, WIN - LOSS - WAGER - TIME, only the casino know what this is, can tell you though the more you win, the more chance of free cruises

Hope this helps.

Happy Days!

That's nothing. I got $5 cash back and THREE VIP keychains!!! LOL

Seriously, gratz. Hope they will hook you up with some better dates.

I came in 4th in the grand finale of the slot tournament. (of course they only pay for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

If you were the casino operator, what would it take for you to offer a free cruise. Before you say you would give everyone a cruise in hopes of coming out ahead, remember, you have to pay for the machines, the staff, the winnings, the overhead...

Another way of looking at this, is that they are not going to give you $1,500 in free cabin unless they expect they will get AT LEAST $1,500 back from you. It is a business, plain and simple.

So, if your donation is $100 per trip, do you think they would give you a $1500 cabin?

I had won a little at the beginning of the trip, which allowed me to play for quite a while, especially on sea days. I had a decent rebate from my cruise last year. I had about $2500 in hand paid jackpots- so i know that i didn't "win" it. But the 20 (or so) choices that are on the back of the certificate do not work with my business travel schedule this spring. I figure i will call and see if there are any options later in the year. Worse they can do is say no. Hate to not be able to use it, though.

good job on the slot tourney, Carl!

i dont know the answer but I am going to go out on a limb and say you will have to bet $1000's of dollars.

Someone like me who might toss in 50$ in the slots or Black Jack for the cruise isnt going to get a free cruise

I agree with you. I was talking about this with my friend with whom I was cruising after the casino host came up to tell me that I had "won" the cruise. The casino host onboard was Chinese, so I thought perhaps it was merely a language/translation issue. I proposed to my friend that "earned" would have been a better word to use.

Anyway, the envelope that the host gave me does say "Congratulation! You just won a Free Cruise!!!".

Like you, I'm disappointed with the list of selected cruises over the next three months.

Now that I'm home and rested from the journey back to the colder weather, I've read the terms and conditions, and I do see:

16. This Cruise certificate has a trade in value of $700 off any cruise to sail by July 1, 2015.

So, it's a bit more valuable than I thought. However, it does also say "Offer must be booked within 14 days of the issue date." In my opinion, that's way too soon after one cruise to be able to make plans for another cruise.

I have two free cruises this year with CR based on my play. (comped balcony rooms)

However, typically the cruises offered are seven days (which while amazing does not always work with my schedule). I am on the allure for seven days leaving march 29th.

After looking at your list. for me, I like that they have the 4 and five night western Caribbean sailings. I will report back after my cruise and see if I get offered anything, or if I notice any changes in the program.

I wish I was rich enough to loose enough to enable myself to win a free cruise.

Although in honesty if I was able to gamble away that much, I would rather do it on a cruise ship, I hope all that "win" enjoy the cruise as well as the smokey Casino :)
