Rare pierces Posted December 22, 2010 Author #488 Share Posted December 22, 2010 hey Dave...joining the NEX revolution I see! nice shots...though the subjects are making me hungry. Yup! I wanted a computer bag business-travel camera that would shoot a step up from the HX5V when needed. So far, I'm really impressed! The shots were at ISO1600 and they look better than my A700 at ISO800! The build feels more like a watch than a compact camera. I also had a chance to compare the old interface with the new one as it came without the firmware update. Night and day. The new menu system makes it very quick and easy to use. Oh, one other thing...it's tiny! The body is about as tall and thick as my HX5V and about a half inch longer. Hard to believe there's a DSLR-sized sensor in there! One great bonus is that all of my Sony and Minolta lenses can be used with the A-mount adapter I ordered with it, though it looks a little silly mounted on the 70-200 f/2.8! Pretty little thing!: Adapted to my A-mount Lensbaby with the Droid X added for scale: Lensbaby Lucy at ISO6400: Lovin' it so far! Dave
TheRoff Posted December 22, 2010 #489 Share Posted December 22, 2010 Indeed, nice camera and photos. I am impressed with it's high ISO performance. I tried an E-PL1, but found that style of camera just isn't my style. Course, I don't have any business travel anymore. :D Larry
