A few shots from the weekend. A little post-processing fun on some.

Been a while since there was a problem with that switch...

Did I mention that it was cold and rainy?

It felt good to get out and shoot!

I was on a land trip to France a couple of weeks ago. The first picture is of the Village of Entrepierre, 90 mins north of the Mediterranean coast. It did snow there in Mid Nov while we were visiting. The next couple are in the area between Gap and Briancon in the French Alps.

Snapped a quick shot of the new one as he visited my lap for a few moments this morning. Played with The Topaz B&W effects filters compared to Lightroom tweaking.

Original - 1/30s - f/5.6 at iso1600

Topaz B&W Effects - Detail Smooth

Lightroom -Creamtone preset

Neither conversion took more than a few seconds and I am unsure which one I like best. Both Topaz' and Lightroom's presets are pretty good and there are all kinds of tweaking tools. Boils down to personal preference, I guess.

JMO -- but I like Topaz B&W the best -- sharper.

Your grandson is adorable.

On the Christmas theme -

I got all the outdoor Christmas lights up on Thanksgiving weekend, and added the tree this past Monday, decorating it over the following few days - and finally got the chance last night to take a few pics.

Fun with the zoom:

Actually have about empty 4 rolls I found in by old Minolta 35 SLR bag. Thought about using them up but couldn't find a battery for it at Best buy without ordering one. Sometimes I miss the old guy. Always like the pictures I got with it. But do not miss the cost to develope.:D
