Annefran ~~~ I think there are great places to eat and you should go by the kind of food you enjoy. Hubby and I don't eat seafood, so we may rule some out. Check out the menus and go with what makes your mouth water. I suggest them all!!!

Ok, I am off. I have a full night tonight and I think it will be a late one, so may not get to post until tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow morinng I will be at the pool early, and hubby and I may get off to do a little shopping in St Thomas, close to the pier. So until then.....glad to have you all aboard with me on truley the most amazing cruise and ship on the sea!!!!!

No we are flying out of Providence. I hate Boston and avoid it if at all possible. We are flying in the day before but haven't booked the hotel yet. Are you on the roll call thread? We should meet up at sometime during the cruise. We are going with another couple. My husband and I are on deck 12 CP balcony room and our friends are on deck 12 outside balcony room. And I definetely want to find the secret place.......:D

 

 

Coming down the pike from Pittsfield Thursday night and staying over at the Embassy at Logon. Our flight on Jet Blue is at 7am, Friday,direct. We will be in FLL by 10:15. Staying at thr Hyatt Place North. Yes, we are on the roll call. Cant wait to meet everyone.

The bartender told me it's pina colada, mango and something special. If you want alcohol they put rum on top. It is a great vacation drink. It was our favorite. Nice and refreshing. Give it a try.

Denise...you said you're in a D1 cabin. Is that the one with the slightly larger balcony? Was looking at the suites and see that they are considerably more. Not sure the perks would be worth the extra $$...sounds like the ship is too amazing to spend too much time in the cabin anyways.

Hi Denise, it's me again :o I just read on here (cc) that the western route has changed there formal nights on Oasis. Can you check and see when they are??? Our good friends that we are cruising with booked a specialilty restaurant for Monday night and now I read that is a formal night (along with Wedneday). So which nights are formal for the western route next month? THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

I really want to book Chops for the second formal night but I don't know if it will be Wednesday night or Thursday night, not sure why they keep moving it.

Denice - really enjoying your live report. We were onboard a month ago, and it seems like yesterday. I miss that ship!

 

Someone asked about the internet package. We bought the most expensive (but least expensive per minute) package and it was 500 minutes for $150. A tip for anyone is to retrieve emails online, copy and paste them to Word or notepad, then log off, read and respond. Then log back on, copy/paste your response. Saves LOTS of minutes!

If one person can have so much fun on a cruise just think what it would be like if we all joined her and her husband. They would have to close down the ship and just let us run wild. Hi!! I noticed your post, as I am keeping up with this thread. I haven't met Denise, but have cruised with some people whom she cruised with on Explorer of the Seas. How are your parents? aunt? Tell them John and I send our "hello". Our next cruise is July 31 on Carnival Dream. We have cruised this year on Carnival Legend, Enchantment of the Seas and Celebrity Solstice. Are you planning a cruise on Oasis? We have friends going in October, and John and I are thinking about joining them.

Good morning!!!!

We have docked in St Thomas and it is pouring and the sky is full of lightening, but who cares.....I AM ON THE OASIS!!!!

 

 

Updates before post responses......

 

 

Last night we ate in the MDR. The strawberry soup and cream of garlic (have them all the time on RCL!) were beyond delicious as usual!!!!!!!!YUM!!

 

We hurried out of there at 7 to go see the comedy show. We had booked it for 9:30 but that would have interfered with the Love and Marriage show (we were too tired to try out though we never ended up going to sleep till 2am!!) so we went standby for 7:30 and no problem getting in. I left the names of the 2 guys we saw (we are in the concierge on 11 having breakfast) in the room but they were HYSTERICAL!! What a fun show and place to see the show. Little lounge called Comedy Live....don't miss it!! I may have been laughing in my sleep!!

 

After the show we went to try another cupcake in the cupcake place. I take back my earlier post. Though the one I had the first day was dry, the banana one with banana cream cheese frosting was BEYOND words. I think I licked my figures more than once!

 

We went to Love and Marriage which was funny as usual...not the funniest one I have seen...but still good. Richard Spacey is very entertaining and loves himmself as much as the audience.

 

I should mention that when we were at the pool yesterday the pool patrol was out in full force and PA announcements were being made about the saving of seats.

 

After L and M we went to the casino (it was about midnight) and stayed until about 1:30am....got back a little of what we have been leaving there!

 

I AM HAVING SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME ON THIS WONDERFUL SHIP, HOW CAN IT BE DAY 4 ALREADY!!??
