Recommended Posts

So excited to read your reviews and thank you for taking the time to do so...

We will be on her in October and do you know if Richard Spacey will still be the Cruise Director... I saw an amazing video of him on You tube so hope so..

We did get to spend a few days on her before the Inaugural last November and can't wait to go back.

Denise...thank you for sharing your vacation with us. I love reading your posts. We haven't booked Oasis or Allure yet, but my DH wants to sail one of them after our FOS cruise next year. Look forward to hearing all about her. If you have time, I heard there is a carousel in one of the neighborhoods. Can you confirm, and is there a charge to ride it?

Small world! We actually met some people from Fairhaven while on our Mariner cruise!

I noticed you are an RN, you don't happen to work at Charlton do you? My mom is an RN, she used to work there, but is now at St. Luke's.

Hi everyone!

I did a quick scan of your posts, so please forgive me if I don't respond to everyone as I may not have time but to post my day. I am EXHAUSTED!

Let me start backwards for a second. We just walked in from the 9:30 Hairspray show. My husband and i thought it was the best show we have seen on a cruise ship..LOVED IT!! We may even see it again..it was that good!!

Last we spoke...I spoke????.....we did some more exploring. This ship is BEAUTIFUL and we yet to see half of it! Too much to do, and little time it seems. The day, and night, were over before I knew it!! The promenade curves and has such energy..lots of fun to sit and have a cookie and watch everyone go by!

I can't believe how beautiul Central Park is. There is no way you can imagine you are on a ship when out there!

We watched the sail-away from that area on the 14th floor...over the bridge and under the solarium. It was the perfect place!

We had to change where we are eating tomorrow night. the menu at 150 Central Park is not for us, so we cancelled and booked Giovanis instead. I will give you the menu tomorrow.

We ate at 6pm in the MDR. Since we hated our original table, we could only get a table for 2, which actually is fine. I took pictures of the menu, so I will save that for my review, our waiter was great and it was a nice meal.

After we ate, we strolled outside on the Boardwark and Central Park and then donated some money in the Casino. About 8:30 we had a cookie and watched people on the Promenade.

We got to the theatre at 9 for the 9:30 show of Hairspray, and it was filling up fast. Like I said...just an awesome show!

Got to see Richard Spacey, the CD, for the first time and we did think he was very funny!!!

We were on the Oasis this past June and did 150 Central and although the food was good, it was not particularlly for us. You will be happy with Giovanni's Table. We also did that and enjoyed it much more. Try the risotto and the raviollis stuffed with crab. We had the chicken for the main course, it was delicious. Just a couple of suggestions for you.

Also, I agree with you, Central park is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice, especially at night.

Enjoy your cruise!!!! I will be checking in to relive ours and to see what your opinion is of the ship. Hope you enjoyed Nassau today.:D

Thanks for posting.:D

GM everyone!

I woke up on the Oasis!!! OMG!! Can life get much better!!????

First some replies....

Sue~~~We lived in Marblehead, Peabody, and lastly Rowley

Tright ~~~ TY

Gsuitesailing ~~~I can't wait for Giovanni's tonight and to share the details with you!

Mchin ~~~ there is indeed a carousel...no charge..and it is soooo cute!! I may have to ride it in the next few days!!

Emmy ~~~ I will post the 150 menu before this cruise is over

Janetz ~~~sleep in??!! We went to sleep at 1am and we got up at 7am

bay ~~~ty

kuddles ~~~ nighttime in Central Park is magical here!!

I have to apologize in advance for any, and I am sure many, spelling errors. The spell check is not working and I have no time to double check my words and I am typing fast and in a hurry (always!)

I decided we MUST see Hairspray again. Hubby and I can't get the tunes out of our heads and my body keeps dancing to the music.

We woke at 7 and went ro the Cafe for breakfast. It was a limited menu of foods (muffins, pastries, bagels, breakfast sandwiches etc) and it was ok, but we were eating in CENTRAL PARK!! What ship? We couldn't have had breakfast on a ship! We were outside, in the foliage and flowers with crickets and birds (yes there is a very realistic sound machine with outside noises). At night, it is even more amazing.

This ship is incredible!! Have I said that 10 times already!!?? lol

Today at 1:45 we are invited to the Helipad for a private champagne sailaway (diamond plus invite I assume). We are going!! The helipad!! Wow!!

Hubby is rushing me off...I convinced him to spend some time with me at the pool and he is ready (please, he will last 15 minutes). It is beautiful out!!

More later! Thank you all for joining me!!

This is just amazing!!! You are sooooo thoughtful to take time out of your vacation on Oasis to do this for us in the "real world". PLEASE take your time, enjoy yourself, smell the roses, and take in ALL the ship has to offer. We do appreciate you taking your time to post but after all YOU ARE ON OASIS!!!!!!!!!! :D :p

I am bleary eyed but here goes...

Hi Shazz!! (she sat in the front row of the Love and Marriage Show I was in and saw first hand my rubbing Allan Brooks's butt!!)

Miss Dot ~~~~ cans..I agree...don't like them

Laurie~~~~North of Boston

Nancy ~~~ I had so much luggage I could have fit all of you in...didn't need broad shoulders!!

Diamond Plus is indeed above the promenade. We tried to go into the one on 11 and the guy said it was for suites only.

Cruiselover ~~~ glad to help!!!

Tomorrow we are in Nassau from 7-2, but we are staying on this magnificent ship. I want the pool and mango tangos and to explore a lot more. It was overwhelming today. I need to slow down and smell the flowers, the coffee, the greenery in Central Park etc etc. LOVE THIS SHIP!!!!

Until tomorrow....NITE ALL!!

Hi Dzboss1!

Love your posts; however, I have a question. We were on Oasis in May and we are Diamond Plus. We had complete access to the Concierge Lounge and all of the amenities. The lounge you refer to is above the Promenade and was the Diamond/Diamond Plus Lounge. I just checked RCI's web site and Diamond Plus have access to the Concierge Lounge. Diamonds do not. If you are Diamond Plus you should check with the Concierge or Guest Relations again because you should have access.

Thanks again for your live posts and have a great time!

Bob
