Need to get to the casino and meet hubby, but have to repeat again not just how wonderful this ship is, but how wonderful it is to cruise! But cruising on this ship is just another story!

The crew really is fantastic. I pass no one without their smiling and saying hello. We even have a handful that know our names already. Makes it so homey!!

Tomorrow is a sea day. I plan on being on deck by 9 to get a chair and stay there until noon. But I won't be "out there" the whole time. At 10:15 I am going to Dazzles (which is a cool place) for my Meet and Mingle. Won't stay too long as the sun and pool await!

At 12:30 I will go to the Hairspray dance class while hubby is going to the blackjack tourney.

The rest of the day is open at this moment.

Dinner at 6 in the MDR

Tomorrow night is the comedy show at 9:30

Love and Marriage (would love to be in it again!!) is at 10:30

Guess what? Tomorrow I wake up and I am STILL on the Oasis!! And you guys are still hanging with me!!

DD goes to Salem State. Are you flying out of Boston?

No we are flying out of Providence. I hate Boston and avoid it if at all possible. We are flying in the day before but haven't booked the hotel yet. Are you on the roll call thread? We should meet up at sometime during the cruise. We are going with another couple. My husband and I are on deck 12 CP balcony room and our friends are on deck 12 outside balcony room. And I definetely want to find the secret place.......:D

TF Green is much easier to get to than Boston! :) There are quite a few hotels in Ft. Lauderdale in the SE 17th St. area. A lot of cruisers recommend the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. Most of the hotels in that area are a quick taxi ride to the port.

Thank you so much for the heads up on the cans....I did see pics of some fruit juices (2 choices)...if you try them let me know how they are...may just forgo the soda :( I live for my coke, but hate cans LOL

CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH for your posts....enjoying them sooooo.

ENJOY YOUR TIME ON BOARD

Dot, if you are inquiring about the soda package, we had it on our cruise, and it is NOT cans. It is soda fountain. We had a Coca Cola stamp on our card and there was a Coca Cola (water type) thermas in our room when we arrived. You could just hand this to any bartender, or any venue that offered soda and have it filled or just present your card and was given a glass of soda.

Oh before I forget.......

150 Central Park menu is.....in order of the courses.....

Gazpacho (lobster)

Duck Confit

Basil Dusted Halibut

Spring Pea Risotto

Steak and Potato

Upside Down Peach Cake

First let me say....your excitement has really rubbed off on me! I am soooo excited. Hate the thought of it getting here, then it will be over so quickly! :(

Thank you so much this is my favorite thread!!

I would love to try 150 central park, that menu looks great to me, but my husband, not so much. So I guess I will have to let it go, too much money for my husband to just eat the steak! He would not even try anything else!

Thank you - yes the Soda Pkg is what I am talking about. We have had this on RCC before and it was great. On Carnival the soda pkg was CANS - hated it.

Only want it if it is NOT cans.

I don't know if you've already mentioned this but if so I couldn't find it.

What type of room do you have and could you tell us a little about it?

Thanks and hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise!

I'm loving your daily updates. We can't wait to be on her in September. It sounds like you are having a blast. I just reserved all our shows this morning and it really fueled the excitement of our upcoming cruise. Could you tell me where the Crowne Plaza is located that you mentioned staying precruise? I'm looking for a nice place to make our reservation. Also, can't wait to hear how the food was in Givonnis.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I didn't post this morning...no internet service..and the pool was waiting for me very early!

I did not read any of your posts...jsut came right to here because I have to get to the Hairspray dance class. I will catch up on your posts later and post more later also.

Last night...without details...

dinner at Giovannis was good

aquashow was very good

Was at the pool this morning at 8am and there were some of the same people I sat with from yesterday! Except for going to the Meet and Mingle at 10:30 to about 11....I stayed at the pool until almost noon. The winds are high so the water in the pool was slooshing away but it was fun and wonderful! The sun was bright, the mango tango cold, and the conversations great!

Sorry...have to run.....more about 4ish

I have yet to read your posts...I promise I will later. Hubby and I are in the concierge lounge on the 11th floor eating a delicious ice cream sundae. He got his after mine, so when he is done...we are on the move again.

So last I posted I was heading to the hairspray dance class. I was hoping I could do it, but the moves would have torn my healing acl reconstruction in two, so I opted to watch and somehow it was just as much fun!! Plus it is at the Aqua theater on the boardwalk, which is just such a cool place to be!

I went to the Windjammer, which seems tiny and with fewer selections compared to even the Explorer, but I am sure that is because there are soooo many lunch choices on this ship. I wasn't that hungary, so I grabbed some fruit and a roll and was off! Watched hubby in the Black Jack tournament (he lost) then we strolled the promenade stores. Even day 3, there is enough people I can pass and know and we wave or stop and chat. It "seemed" to be ice cream time, so back to the Boardwalk for the sundae.

There is a trivia contest at 3 we may go to, and then I may.....hmmmmm...take a nap!!!! Of course that will be before or after I read all the posts from all of you.

I have to say (again) that this ship is AMAZING!!! How can people not want or know about the wonderful world of cruising. I am not talking about if you can't afford it, but if you have a vacation choice, you just HAVE to fit cruising in your life. So many choices onboard...makes your head spin. PLus......I LOVE THIS SHIP!!!!

We are off.........

Denise,

Thanks so much for posting LIVE. This is absolutely wonderful. We are booked for the Oasis for Thanksgiving this year and DD's 18th birthday. We want to eat one of the speciality restaurants for her birthday. Which one would you recommend?

We also have a Central Park Balcony cabin booked. Have you been able to see the inside of one of those cabins, if so what was your impression?

Thanks! And have a great time!

Having some rain so a perfect time to post.

Ms Dot ~~~ thrilled to have the company!

bluehorizon and Caribear~~~ ty

Amethyst365 ~~~ The aqua show was great and I saw your son!! Boy is Jesse good!! Those twists when he dives are amazing!!

Ocean ~~~ walking thru Central Park is thrilling... a breathtaking experience...the sounds of the birds and chirping of the crickets makes you forget (again) that you are on a ship! It of course is warm out there when we are docked and the sun is out, but there is a wind when moving. It's just like being outside because you are!

dfishner ~~~you are too funny! I am just me being me!!

suern3 ~~~ TY!!!!!!

Dixie ~~~ I have a D1 on deck 12. I have had 4 Owner's suites (when we took the kids) and JS for us the other times. Prices were much higher, so we went for the D1 this time and it is fine. We are never in it except to dress, sleep or mostly to post!! It really has everything we need.

***************************************************

Giovannis was good. I can't rave, nor will I complain (we all have different tastes...a few things were very good and a few were just ok. But I am sure that is just our tastes). I don't expect perfection all the time. I am so happy to be on a cruise and on this ship that I won't sweat the small stuff and won't send any bad vibes on anything. We did get a window seat and loved looking out to Central Park. Service was great!

The aqua show was so much fun. Still can't believe what you get to see on this ship!
