I could be silly and say, a crazy sale like buy one cruise and get one free :)

But to answer your question to make a quick change for one day, I would probably re-install the champagne welcome. I have read countless times how many hard core loyal NCL fans miss this. I remember boarding the Jewel in 2009 and walking on board the beautiful ship and being handed a glass of bubbly. It is classsy and totally cool, esp when you are already excited about getting on board.

I agree. It was a very nice way of welcoming passengers aboard the ship.

My first thought was to do away with the policy where people could compain about service to get their service charges removed. This to me is just unfair to the 99% or more that work their butts off to make everyone's cruise enjoyable. To make the customer happy would give them some sort of compensation but not take it away from the employees even if that means the company eats the expense. But would also make sure that those employees that are getting complaints are told to shape up or ship out... (hehe):D

Then saw this and thought hmmm... as I know it is a small thing that make a lot of people happy even if it is cheap as some say... I still like it rather than being hit with would you like a drink... oh and I'll need your card for that.

ok...putting flame suit on...

A non-smoking ship

But then I saw this and think this is the best thing I could do... or let there be smoking only in designated areas. Smoking would not be permitted on balconies so that the non-smokers can enjoy their cruise. For the most part I think smokers try to accomodate but some just don't give a rat's --- about anybody but themselves. I suppose could let them smoke out there with a e-ciggy so that it doesn't bother others... or better yet - give a high powered squirt gun to the non-smokers to snuff out the obnoxious ones. LOL... whoops better go get the suit on.:D

Nah, think I'm going back to first thought.

move the star somewhere else...NYC wants another new ship like the Gem and not an older ship

I wish we could keep the Star right here in Seattle. We love the Star and are sad to see her leaving the area!

I would make the Web Site easier to navigate to see what rooms are still available.

Also would love to see a few more different itineraries from New York. Port Canaveral needs to go and change to Key West or another island

I would work for those 24 straight hours coming up with a sticker plan or a buzzer plan or SOME kind of plan that handles the chair hog problem. I would ensure that there were crew members whose job it was to monitor chairs so that people can get a chair without wandering the deck around and around and taking it upon themselves to move other people's things that have been there for hours.

Solving the chair-hogs problem is really simple.

Along with the 2 beach towels in your room, you get a laminate tag (the same as they would use at a land-based casino when someone is grandfathered in as the table minimum changes.

Those laminates (1 per person booked in the room) are engraved with the room number.

Afix a very small hook or post on the side of the chairs, from which someone must hang their laminate when they are "using" the chair.

If the chair has gone unused for a while, it's an easy phone call to see if the person has returned to their stateroom and left the laminate behind. Otherwise, a simple broadcast call on the pool-deck PA asking room 8746 to please return to their chair would either cause the party to show up at the chair (legitimate use), or the laminate could then be removed and the chair vacated for the next person.

Chair hogs are successful because they are anonymous. Make them identifiable (actually....2nd thought.....use a coding system, that staff on the pool deck can decipher, so that people's cabin numbers aren't visible to everyone (security issue).)

The cost to implement would be fairly minimal, and knowing they can be traced, may shame some chair hogs into being more conscientious.
