Cruising in November??

Hello,

 

I just booked a cruise for my birthday in November. Its a Carnival cruise leaving out of Charleston and going to the Bahamas. Now I'm worried about the temps I might experience while at sea. I know it should be in the 80s in the Bahamas but what about at sea? I've only cruised once, in May a few years ago, and my favorite thing to do was lay out on the deck and go in the hot tubs. Was I crazy to book a cruise in November if I want to lounge on the pool deck and swim?

Have you check the weather for Charleston for the time you are cruising? That will give you an idea.

It will depend on the weather this Nov!!! If it's mild, you'll be fine! If we get a cold snap, you're gonna feel that as well!

 

I, too, am a pool/beach lover so I wouldn't book in a cooler month!

The cruise sounds grand.

 

Yes, you just don't know what the weather will be like.

 

But there is so much to enjoy on a cruise that I would focus on how great it will be.

It's possible it could be chilly, but the Atlantic as far south as Charleston stays warm well past summer. Your first evening might be cool, but thhe first sea day should be OK.

Thanks for all the advice. I have a tendency to over think sometimes. I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time no matter what. Any day on vacation is better then a day at work.

OP...where are you from?

For me, it would be a bit chilly, but I live in Miami....

My younger sis came down here to visit from PA, and she has no problem swimming when temps are in the 60s down here....

Just want to add it will be a great cruise and the weather is something that is unpredictable.

Be prepared to have chilly temperatures the first couple of days and again at the end of the cruise.

 

Sea days -- if your ship has a covered pool - it will be warm in that area to swimand sit around.

You can never predict. This March in was warmer in Minnesota than on our Hawaii cruise.

So hard to tell. We had sweatshirts with blankets around our legs.
