:) My handle, Meirah, means light. It comes from my formal name, Channah Meirah, which means Merciful Light. Al and I play Everquest, a computer game. Al's main character is named Alwar. So that is where we got his handle Al.

My name is not Faye nor am I chubby. My mom's name is Faye and she got the nickname of "Chubby" when she was a little girl - but she grew up to be skinny! My real name is Karen.

So how did you choose your screen name?

I grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia called New Glasgow. The part of town that we lived in was called the Northend. At the time it wasn't the most sought after location. Everyone who lived there were pretty much of the same religion. We were referred to as Northenders. Now people don't even have to list their houses with real estate agents in that part of town. Word of mouth that one is for sale and you will get your asking price.:)

My. my how times change, eh? :D

 A Sandgroper is a insect which lives in the sandy coastal areas of Perth, Western Australia. West Aussies are known as Sandgropers just as Queenslanders are Banana-benders!

I'm an ex-Pommie Sandgroper actually! ;)

A Sandgroper

This larviform insect is an adult sandgroper (Order Orthoprtera, Family Cylindrachetidae, Genus Cylindracheta).

Eggs are probably laid in autumn and winter as young may be seen throughout the winter.
