FLUFFLULA Posted September 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2012 We live in Alabama which is on central daylight time. We're doing the New England/Canada cruise on the Caribbean Princess leaving on 10/13. Our DD is flying to visit a friend while we are on the cruise and we want to call her while in port to find out if she makes it ok. So, will the times listed on the itinerary be based on the time at the port of embarkation (EDT) or will they be based on local time, e.g., ADT? cb at sea Posted September 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Who knows...it's up to the Captain, whether a ship will change time or not. It's only a 1-2 hour difference...text her....kids will ALWAYS receive a text...no matter what time it is!
hallasm Posted September 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Times listed on the itinerary will always be the 'ship time' - however, 'ship time' can be different from 'port time'.
Rare LHT28 Posted September 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I would use local time to determine what time it is where you are when you make the call You can check the time where you are calling http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Times on the itinerary will be the time zone of where you are sailing. Keith
