Everything ROYAL PRINCESS: What are you looking forward to MOST of all?

Anyone know how the laundry room works on the Royal - can you use your door card or do you need to have change?

Maybe I'm confused but you asked this just the other day and I believe it was answered, with pictures....

Was there a detail that we missed?

Good morning Dave, it is now 6:40 AM EDT. I am looking at the website for the Royal on the Princess website. It is still showing her to be docked in Venice. Time there should be around 12:40 PM Venice time. Maybe you can still catch the sail away. Not sure what time she will be sailing. Itinerary says 8 AM but I don't think it is. Maybe more like 5 PM their time. Have a great day.

Hi diverward,

My error actually. It's 8am tomorrow morning. :o

My DW had her first Bellini last night during our dinner boat cruise to watch fireworks on Lake Erie. (We were practicing for our next cruise)

The Bellini has taken over as her new favorite drink, even over Mamosas! And to think it all started when she read about them on this thread and heard of the Royal's dedicated bar.

She asked me to check, 'Do they have a Bellini card available on the Royal?'

Joel

I don't know if you've seen this but it's the drink menu from Bellini's....

And in case anyone elsed missed the menus of The Crab Shack and Fondue's...

BEAUTIFUL picture Dave!!!!

Thank you!

Where do you find these?

There's still a host of websites I check every day most which are social media, ship spotting or tracking, and foreign cruise forums or via Google searches. Not as many coming out now that she's built and in service as there were when she was at Monfalcone in the final weeks and the first week after she hit Southampton.

Question on Bellini's: Do they serve regular drinks like orange juice & vodka or Bud Lite?

The other half of the drink menu at Bellini's consisted of different kinds of champagnes, red and white wines, but no canned or mixed drink type alcoholic beverages.

The closest beer menu I've seen in the atrium is from Alfredo's and it has Beck's, Blue Moon, Bud Lite Metal, Budweiser Metal, Coors Lite, Dos Equis, Heiniken, Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, and a few others. I'm sure any of the atrium drink servers can get one of these from Alfredo's or other close by bar like the Casino Bar, Club 6, the bar in Vines, or Wheelhouse Bar. Same goes for mixed drinks.

Gorgeous photo of the Royal in Istanbul! Thanks Dave.

Hopefully our Cruise Critic friends that are on her now will be able to give us updates and more info in the upcoming two weeks. They're going to have a busy itinerary with an added port that wasn't on the first eastbound sailing.

I didnt see any beer, but other drinks are certainly available. However as with any other bar on a Princess ship if they dont serve it, they will go and get it from wherever does.

Maybe this has been asked before but if so, I missed it. For the fondue dinner, is it walk-in or do you make reservations?

Pam....Somewhere I think I read that the Crabshack and Fondue are reservation venues. I can't be sure though. I have become overloaded by all the information we have received so far.:D

Hi Pam

They recommend reservations. I suspect though that you can walk up and ask for a table, but I suppose there may be a wait if they are busy.

Dates are published in the patter, it is not every night.

Thanks! What a great alternative to formal night. :) We love going to the Melting Pot every now and then.

Beautiful photo!!! :):)

OK - I just cannot put a photo in the text of the message. I keep getting thumbnails. I tried searching "imbed photo" with no luck.:eek:I see you are giving credit to someone else for the photo, so I am assuming it was from a site like Picasa.

Thanks for your help!!!

ShootingStar,

Sorry I'm so late in replying. I had forgotten about this particular post and was just now checking on possible replies to it. I post pictures using the Insert Image icon insertimage.gif. In order to do this, you have to have the picture posted somewhere online (not uploaded from your PC when typing the message). You have to make sure you paste just the image URL into the pop-up box when using this icon. Sometimes when you are trying to use an image from a photo hosting site, it'll give you a bunch of other stuff too (embedding usually does this).

I've found the best way is to right-click the image you want to use (on whatever site it is on...i.e. another message on this board or whatever) and select the option to copy image location (this function is worded differently depending on the browser you are using...in my case Firefox). Sometimes you can find the image URL within the EMBED text....it'll start with http:// and usually ends with .jpg

There are some photo hosting sites that do not let you post photos on other sites that they are hosting (I think it's called inline linking). If that's the case, the image may show up for a while then be blocked or removed by the hosting site later on.

Sorry that was such a long explanation. Cruise Critic has a test forum where you can practice posting images or whatever.... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=225

Other than the buffet, which restaurant venues are not formal on formal nights?

Only the main dining rooms are formal. All other dining venues are smart casual or casual. Don't be surprised to see formally dressed people in the other venues however.:)
