Just Received Email Stockholder confirmation - Is this new

My Princess Cruise Consultant assured me (via email) that if we both own a block of shares we can get 2 times the shareholder benefit. Is that true? [The way I read the form, it seems unlikely.]

Yes the form does state only one benefit per cabin.

Has anyone been able to SUBMIT their form via email?

There is an email address on the form, but I got an "undeliverable" bounceback message.

Not any more. Princess eliminated that option sometime last year.

I have found that there are fee FAX websites that you can use to FAX your request. I sent in a request on Saturday and received an email first thing today (Monday). It wasn't what I wanted. They now absolutely want you to send it in within 90 days of the cruise. In the past I just received a warning.

FYI - just in case anyone is tracking how long it is taking to receive confirmation.

I faxed in my Shareholder benefit request on Monday, 4/9/13, evening, received email confirmation today, Sunday 4/14/13, morning.

6 days total from fax to confirmation.

This is for a cruise early June 2013.

Thank you Princess for the quick processing time and the email confirmation!

Sue from Fairfield, CA

I faxed mine over 2 weeks ago for a July cruise too and have heard nothing. I finally called Princess and they said it has been applied to my booking, but still have not received an email. I even wrote right on the form, please confirm request has been fulfilled via email, and still did not hear from them.

I just bought 100 shares of Carnival Stock and am looking forward to using the onboard credits during my next three cruises. I note that the current shareholder benefit request form refers to the benefit being applicable on sailings through July 31, 2013, but my cruises will take place later this year. Has anyone heard if the benefit will be extended past August 1? I checked the Carnival website, and the pages that would refer to this information are blank.

Even if you receive confirmation from Princess and/or confirmation that your OBC has been applied, that doesn't mean you'll get it when you board the ship. My last three cruises (Island last October, Crown in February, and Diamond in May), it wasn't applied and I had to produce a copy of my fax, including proof of stock ownership, before it was applied. There is a disconnect between the shareholder benefit office and the ships. So, bring a copy of everything and double-check.

I've held Carnival shares for a number of years now, and we've done over 40 cruises with Princess, so I've got a good return with all the OBC and more with dvidends over the years. My personal cruise assistant at Princess has my details, so they just get applied on request whenever I book.
This is interesting. How many shares do you have to hold? And does it apply to shareholders in the UK? Thank you.
100 shares and if you cruise a lot, it's a great investment.
