Carnival share holders OBC

Is it the case that if your cruise is at a reduced rate you will not get OBC for Carnival stock holding?

Nope, I have gotten my shareholder OBC no matter whether I paid full fare or got a heck of a great last minute fare.

The Carnival Shareholder Benefit description (http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=140690&p=irol-sharebenefit) lists the following restriction: "Employees, travel agents cruising at travel

agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer."

This "reduced-rate" does not refer to any rate available to the general public or to past passengers - including their biggest sales. It refers to reduced rates provided to people in the travel industry - rates that most of us can only dream of.

Thanks for that. I had asked our TA but they thought it was not available for reduced rate cruises.

Wow. You REALLY need to get a different TA. The one you have has demonstrated that they don't have a clue what they are talking about.
