sc1349 Posted August 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2013 Is there a certain time of year when cruise companies give their best deals, or is it just random.
paul929207 Posted August 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2013 It really depends on how sales are going. If they are great, prices will rise.
CruiserBruce Posted August 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2013 If there was a certain time, everyone would buy then, and the cruise lines would figure this out and raise the prices for that time frame.
NoobCruise Posted August 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2013 The best deals I've seen were last minute. I wish I had the luxury to book last minute, but DH has to put in for vacation 60 days in advance :(
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2013 There really is not. It all comes down to supply and demand. Keith
trish1c Posted August 19, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2013 Yes, supply & demand is a huge factor but the best deals are often found in September & October during hurricane season.

hancock Posted August 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2013 After final payment date.
MCC retired Posted August 20, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Cruise lines have what they call Sales all year long but the real bargains are after Final Payment date (60- 30 days out) . If you are flexable about cruise line , ships and cabin type/location,most times you will get a great rate . If you are set on a ship, sailing date then book now and watch for Sales along the way. Bonnie J. Posted August 20, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Prices go down in the fall in Hurricane/Windy season. Then again right after New Years. They also go down about the week before sailing if the ship is not full. Prices are up in the summer & whenever kids are out of school.
notalandlover Posted August 20, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Well Bruce the secrets out. Everyone will now be buying their cruises during these times. The OP asked a fair question and you come back with a rude and condescending remark.
sc1349 Posted August 20, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Thanks for all the replies, thought I'd ask to see if there was a knack to getting good deals.
dorisis Posted August 21, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2013 In the Caribbean it is during hurricane season after school starts. There are also good prices between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In Alaska it is at the beginning and end of the Alaska season. TransAtlantics are usually well priced but airfare can be the deal breaker.
