compozer Posted January 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Do they close early the last night? I had extra OBC and wanted to use it up the last night but they all were closed. I don't use a watch but thought it was around 9:15. I thought they usually stayed open until 11 or so but never have wanted to shop the last night before. Thanks

caribill Posted January 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) It was 11:00pm on our cruise in Oct. Same for our cruise in January. But it could differ by ship. But if the ship has entered certain territorial waters, the shops (and casino) may have to close earlier. dw64 Posted January 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Last week on the Emerald Princess, the shops closed at 9 PM on the last night. Other nights, they were open to 11 PM.
compozer Posted January 28, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Thanks everyone. dw64 - Good to know - we were also on the Emerald so they must be doing things differently. No big deal but I thought it was strange. Just goes to show, you shouldn't wait until the last minute.
DrivesLikeMario Posted January 29, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) It really depends on when the ship leaves international waters. FYI, if you're coming into FLL from Princess Cays, it takes a LONG time to get back to US waters. In that case, the shops should be open until 11pm. Edited to add: Just realized you were on the Emerald, so perhaps a cruise coming into Houston. With that location, I can see them closing at 9pm. It takes a long, carefully maneuvered cruise in that part of the Gulf as you near the US and it might be considered US territory. Thanks Why don't you ask in one of the shops, they know their schedules for the whole cruise.

Rare cr8tiv1 Posted January 29, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Coming back from Mexico 10 day, the shops closed at 9. Same thing...I was going to spend money after dinner. No luck.
compozer Posted January 29, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Why don't you ask in one of the shops, they know their schedules for the whole cruise. I am not on the ship now. And I only ask because it was closed at 9:15 our last night. I usually don't purchase anything that late on a cruise. Forgot about them being closed in the international waters - good for the crew - they work long hours.

KruzPrincess Posted January 29, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 29, 2015 I believe the shops closed at 9pm on the Grand on the last night of the cruise. This was in December coming from Ensenada.
Jasperdo Posted January 29, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 29, 2015 The boutiques hours are always listed on the last page of the Princess Patter every day.
