This benefit is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and, cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account.

Is there a time frame that it has to be made after? It was posted two weeks before, but we sail in December. Should I send it now or wait until it is closer?

Thanks,

Jolene

The proof of stock ownership cannot be dated earlier than 90 days before the cruise, so you will need to wait until September or later.

I was told they take proxy card or a brokerage statement not over 180 days old. That was from Princess and Holland America.

They will accept it but will not post to sailing until you make the final payment.

I love that they let us combine it with other OBC's. RCI does not so I rarely sail with them

So you can't get this if your cruise is a "Reduced Rate". So it's only applicable to people that pay full price on a cruise. If Princess drops the rate you wouldn't be eligible ??

No. The "reduced rate" refers to people who get things like the "friends" rate. You can take advantage of any advertised price or any price your TA gives you that is below the launch rate.

Our first use of the shareholder's OBC was to cruise to Hawaii. We sailed in a mid-ship balcony for $1,459 pp. This was far below the originally advertised rate. It was great to purchase the stock and get an immediate return of $250 in OBC.

Tried to pull up the new benefit form on the Princess site but it still says the old date. Is it just not there yet?

If you do a google search for the financial report for CCL you will find a link to the report. The page you are used to seeing is a page in that report. It's not available (yet) as a separate pdf but I would guess it will be soon.

No, we always get a discount from our TA in the 15% range and always get the shareholder OBC.

I have never used the form and never had a problem. I just put the relevant info on the FAX cover sheet.

It doesn't matter as you can still use the previous form.

Mike:)

It takes awhile for the application form to be updated & as Mike said you can use the previous form or as Paul said none at all. Each way works however Princess created a form that answers all of the many questions asked here on CC & it ensures an accurate submission to quickly get the SOBC issued. :)

They are very speedy giving the OBC credit these days. I faxed mine in earlier this week for our April 25th cruise, and it was showing in my Personalizer in under three hours. Love this benefit!

They allowed me to have it for a deeply discounted holiday sailing but would not allow me to have my AMEX platinum (350.00) OBC.

I created a fax form years ago. I never knew there was a form. Could someone give me the link?

I remember when we used to be able to email the requests. Back than we had to send our booking confirmation.

Here's a link to the most recent application form & when the form with the new dates is available will post it.

I've done it with and without the form. Up until our last cruise I never used a form. I just printed out the relevant information and wrote my cruise info on it by hand and faxed it in. It always went through without a problem. For our last cruise I actually used the form and, of course, it worked just fine as well.

The shareholder OBC is one of the things that makes me want to stick with Princess...
