Diamond Breakfast Room

Recommended Posts

In past cruises on Explorer of the Seas, we've enjoyed the Diamond and above breakfast room. Do Allure OTS, Radiance OTS, Liberty OTS and Quantum OTS have similar breakfast rooms? Thanks in advance for any info about these ships.

We have done this in the past on some of the ships you have mentioned, it was a nice perk. Our cruise last month aboard the Serenade we were told it was for Pinnacle and Suite guests only.....

I know I remember that. A cooked to order breakfast in a special room. We just got off of Legend OTS two weeks ago and Vision OTS last November and it was not in our benefits.

Was looking forward to Diamond + with one point to go. But, I see they didn't have it either.

Can only speak for the two ships we were on recently on.

I do miss that breakfast but there is always the MDR.

From experience, if a ship has a Diamond Lounge, then there is no separate dining room for D members as breakfast is provided in the lounge.

Grandeur currently has breakfast in the DL and a special diamond and up area in the main dining room.

No special area on Radiance. Just off March 31. Quantum does not have a MDR. Continental breakfast available in DL and CL.

We had continental breakfast in the DL on Indy this past February. It was very nice, light breakfast; cold cereals, Danish, fruit, a pan of pancakes staying warm and of course the coffee options; we did go to MDR for breakfast one morning, but no special area for Diamond and above; maybe D+ or Pinnacles and Suites, but we are just Diamonds and we were not ushered to a special area of the dining room.

Breakfast was very good; I can never make omelets as good as I can get them when made by someone else. I try, but I leave it to them.

On Adventure, September 2014, there was a separate area in the main dining room for D and above also Suite guests. This was table service with a smile! Continental breakfast served in Diamond lounge.

that's not the same as having a cooked to order breakfast in a specialty.

but those seem to all be D+/Pinnacle/Suites only now, excluding Diamonds. in fact we witnessed someone denied entrance to Chops one morning on NAV and they were Diamond. with the sheer number of Diamonds on any given cruise, and the smaller venue of a specialty restaurant, it seems logical that they have to now limit access.

NAV also has a smaller area set aside for Gold card holders in the Windjammer. we never ate breakfast or lunch in the MDR so no idea how it is handled.

Yeah, we miss those breakfasts too, tucked into a corner of the MDR...we had our much beloved Eggs Benedict and at least 5 or so free cups of cappuccino in there.....did it several times on Mariner, but the last few...NOT!

What do you mean by "Cooked to order"?

What do you mean by "Cooked to order"?

You sit down, the waiter takes your order, the cook makes your food, and the waiter comes back in a while with the food, made the way you ordered.

As opposed to a buffet.

having a spot set aside to sit for WJ patrons or a simple continental breakfast such as what is in the Lounge versus being served by a waiter and placing an order off a limited menu in a specialty restaurant.

Exactly!

Just checking that I wasn't missing something I didn't understand!

We had a special area in the main dining room for Diamond and above for a "cooked to order" breakfast, (As I previously said) on "Adventure" in September 2014.

It was not in one of the Speciality restaurants, however it had all the same perks.

Indy has a corner of the MDR for breakfast. I don't know what level D, we were D+ at the time and went every day of our B2Bs. It was Great!!!

You don't have to wait in the waiting line, just show your Sea Pass Card to the crew member at the door and we were escorted in.

On our cruise on the Adventure from San Juan Feb. 22 – Mar. 1, Diamond and above were invited to breakfast in the MDR in an area separate from the rest, but with the same breakfast menu that was available in the MDR. We partook several times, as it was quiet and offered very quick service. I was able to get my eggs benedict, and we were able to choose a table for two instead of being seated at a large table (which is typical for the “normal” MDR breakfast experience). On disembarkation day, we chose to be seated with two other couples, and had a leisurely breakfast and shared our cruise experiences. Very nice!

Hi

In the past on Voyager of the Seas, we've enjoyed the Diamond and above breakfast room near the MDR. Now that the Voyager has a Diamond lounge does anyone know if they still offer the Diamond breakfast in the old area in the MDR ?

Thanks

Can someone please highlight the differences between the coffee house breakfast they have onboard Celebrity and of that on Royal Caribbean?

We earned our elite status through Celebrity and their little breakfast area in one of the specialty restaurants was just the highlight of each day. It was so wonderful to sit and have a really great cup of coffee in the morning as well as a mimosa or bloody mary if desired. There was a nice buffet table set up with fruit, pasties, smoked salmon, cheese, etc. Just a perfect little start to the day for us.

Is the breakfast they provide to Diamond status and above similar to this? Are mimosas included??

There are two kinds of breakfasts that may be offered to Diamond level on Royal:

Continental breakfast for a couple of hours each morning in the Diamond Lounge. This is on all ships with Diamond Lounges, which I believe is all but Majesty and Jewel now.

Diamond breakfast in the dining room. This is the same exact menu as anyone else gets in the dining room, with the addition of complimentary specialty coffee. Not all ships offer this.

Neither option includes complimentary alcoholic drinks.
