Lulubelle45 Posted April 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I'm heading on my first Princess cruise in 8 days. I'll be getting the Unlimited sodas and More package. I will probably enjoy an alcoholic Drink occasionally. For those who have sailed before, what drinks do you suggest other than the basics?

LoriPhil Posted April 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Remember that there is usually a buy-on-get-one-free offer (it was at Crooners bar from 3 - 4 on the Royal), and another later in the night. That's how we purchased our Pina Coladas… mmmm Have a wonderful cruise!
deemak Posted April 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I would recommend you try the tropical blend, it's only juice based and is included in your package. I'm not a drinker so can't help with the others.
Northender Posted April 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Try the new drink called "The Isaac" I have not had one - yet - but it sure sounds good.:):)
Corinda Posted April 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I'm partial to Grey Goose martinis myself, with 3 olives of course and a tray of stuffed olives 'cause you need an appetizer :)

Thrak Posted April 24, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) Mojito (alcoholic) or Nojito (virgin). Remember that you can have any drink made as a virgin drink and it will be included with your package. You aren't limited to the menu of virgin drinks. Of course a virgin martini is going to pretty much be an olive in a glass... They make a very nice virgin Bloody Mary. I tend to drink Bulliet bourbon. I'll check on my next cruise and see if they carry Bulliet rye. Yum. I make sure they don't ruin my drink with ice. (I have sent it back before because a new bartender got it wrong. Then he tried just pouring it off of the ice into another glass. At that point I took it to the bar and had it fixed properly.) As noted above there should be a BOGO in Wheelhouse from 4:00 - 5:00 and another one in Skywalker's or whatever the late night venue is from 11:00 to Midnight. Check the coupon book in your cabin. While it's mostly just worthless stuff I did find an additional BOGO coupon in it on my last cruise. It was a BOGO at Skywalker's from 10:00 - 11:00 PM. That meant I got a BOGO from 10:00 - 11:00 that was immediately followed by the regular BOGO from 11:00 - Midnight. Roatanfans Posted April 24, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2015 It depends on what you are in the mood for and I've found different bartenders make a difference. Last year my favorite mocktail was the sunshine daiquiri, but this year I was enjoying the nojitos. My 7 year old son discovered that virgin strawberry daiquiris are even better then slushies and he quickly started experimenting with different fruit combinations! rdsqrl Posted April 25, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 25, 2015 London Lemonade -- a martini-type drink with a nice tart lemony flavour. Not too sweet. Available in Crooner's and in the Wheelhouse, although I'm not sure it's on the cocktail menu in the latter venue. But they can definitely make it. partybarbie Posted April 25, 2015 #21 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Two of my favorites are the "Captain's Bounty" made with three different types of rum and the "Tiramisu Martini". If it's made correctly, it tastes just like Tiramisu.
