One room service order for all week

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to put in one room service order for every day of the 7 night cruise,

I would like one pot of coffee delivered at 7:00 every morning.

Can I somehow order that first day for whole week.

Umm... I'd be willing to bet this can be done. Talk to your attendant about it.

We wanted an ice bucket each evening on a 10 day cruise. We talked to the nice gentleman the first day and the ice was waiting each day when we returned from Port.

I believe tha OP is going to just put the doorhanger on the door each night...why take a chance.

I also believe the cabin steward is responsible for the ice only and not the roomservice ;)

Two completely different things. Your steward has a dozen or so rooms to take care of and filling your ice bucket everyday is something they do when asked. Room service is for the entire ship and no one can expect them to do this. They do an order at a time. Just put the door hangar out every night. Very easy.

Sounds reasonable but my bet is that Room Service would like confirmation of your "standing order" every day. Imagine if they did this for everyone who asked - full breakfasts might go uneaten because passengers changed their plans (as one sometimes does on a cruise vacation :) )...

Use the door hanger before you retire for the night and your coffee will be delivered.

One thing you might do as well is as ask your room steward for enough door hangers for the rest of the trip. Fill them out at one time and just toss the pre-filled card on the door before retiring for the night. (Almost like putting up the Do Not Disturb card at a hotel.)

You can usually order on your cabin TV. Found this easier. No chance of someone playing around with door hangers. Quicker than hand writing out several times.

I like this idea. I haven't liked the door hangers since they kept mysteriously disappearing one cruise. Not RCL.;)

Not all ships. For example, Grandeur does not have interactive tv. It "might" take 5 minutes to fill out enough hangars for a week. Hardly a burden.

From some of the other posts, this may not be possible on the Grandeur, but I did not know that was possible on some of the newer ships! Very good to know! Thank you for sharing!
