We are booked for the Eclipse April 16, 2017 TA. It will be our first TA. Glad to hear about the calm seas.

Congratulations on your cruise !! This was our second TA in the Spring on Celebrity . The first was on the Connie with the new kid on the block the Solstice , tagging along for the ride ! We scored an FV just before departure and also had calm seas on the crossing .

That's one great spacious balcony on the Connie, Joe!

The water in Bermuda looks very inviting too. We have never been there.

So many tempting destinations, so little time.

The FV balcony on the M class is better than on the s class in terms of size and aft view !! Our's is annotated with the cabin number .

Cabin was a spacious 271 sq. ft and the Veranda is 242 sq. ft. Most of the area is covered , but there is a uncovered cantilevered area for sunning .

On the deck below us is the penthouse with a whopping 1432 sq. ft and the Veranda is 1098 sq. ft . !!

Bermuda and it's beaches are beautiful !!

The East bound TA is one of our favorite cruises that we would like to do again .

After our final payment was made on our upcoming cruise on the Eclipse , Celebrity lowered the price significantly on the remaining SV cabins . We requested an OBC the way that Princess does and were refused .

Consequently , we downsized our suite on the Equinox to an SV , thus saving $3500

We used the difference to book a suite , our first on the Caribbean Princess , for next summer . And while we do enjoy the Celebrity product ( we have 4 cruises currently booked with them ) , we find their customer loyalty to be lacking when compared to Princess .

And from what I've seen so far, the Princess web site is far superior!

At the bottom of the page you will find a chart of our ratings with things that are important to us about the Eclipse , the Regal Princess , and the Caribbean Princess . The ships are numbered 1 , 2 or 3 with 1 being the highest rating . And so the lower the number , the higher the rating !! :) :D

With only 2 days left before boarding the Eclipse we are having some reservations about this cruise . This will be our third cruise of 14 days or longer on the Eclipse , and therein lies one of the problems - 14 days at sea and No self serve laundry .

We recently spent 13 days on 2 different Princess ships and they both coin operated laundries .

They also had premium coffee for sale available 24 hours a day unlike , Cafe al Bacio .

Another thing we will be missing from Princess is the MDR experience . There are 3 on their ships with no long lines as is the case on the Eclipse with it's single dining room . And there is much more room at the dining tables on Princess also .

The Royal class on Princess like the Eclipse , has 2 sets of stairs . But when concerned people complained , a third stairway was opened . So if you agree , by all means , speak up !

What is your status on Celebrity Joe?

Depending on that you may get a free laundry bag each P.P for the length of the cruise.

I know we are Elite, but we have managed to stuff a bag with 30+ items once a week for FREE laundry.

As to your other comments, I'm looking forward to our first cruise on Princess!

Shame you may be cancelling an Eclipse cruise, due to the wedding vow renewal. That's not the cruise leaving from Dublin is it?

Pat just told me that we are select , beginning with this cruise . Our final payment will be due on the June cruise when we return in early March , which is the cruise that we will replace with the Harmony , if we go in July . The cruises from Dublin on May 10th and 20th , 2018 and Antarctica January 20th , 2019 , are still scheduled as planned .

We hate to cancel cruises but we see the Harmony as a replacement for the Eclipse .

According to the link you will be allowed a reduced bag of laundry on cruises of 12+ days.

Thank you Jackie , Pat usually keeps the books on the cruises and so she's probably up to speed on it , but I will share the good news with her . And with 2 weeks in the heat and humidity , we will be needing some clean laundry ! ;)
