With that being said, if you ask this on the Florida Departures board, you will probably get a better response.

There are quite a few decent private car/bus/limo services you can pre book on the internet. A quick look on the web will find these services with info on their prices and which hotels (and the times) of their pick-up. These are shared services so the cost is relatively inexpensive. On the other end of the scale is simply to call a taxi or use a private car transfer service.

We have used SAS a few times to shuttle us from Ft Lauderdale to POM. Their rate is about $15 per person. They have a list of FtL hotels on their website that they pick up from.

We used taxi between Miami Airport and FLL. Cost was about $85 plus tip but that always depends upon traffic.

Just a note that we would never book a hotel for the free shuttle. Additionally, it's a fair distance between the two points, and although a hotel advertises a shuttle to the Port of Miami (free or not), what if it's full? What if 50 people want that same shuttle, or more? My advice echoes what others have said: I would be looking at either staying in Miami overnight and take a cab to the POM, or arrange for a shuttle bus service or car service from Fort Lauderdale to POM.

Sorry but a taxi from Fort Lauderdale to Miami will run around $75.00 or more.
