Princess Cruise Deposit and TA

If one has a deposit made with and provided to Princess (cruise line) for a future cruise, and I later actually book the cruise with a travel agency (i.e., not Princess itself), would that deposit be accepted by them, the TA?

They can see it exists and apply it. If you get any hassle, that's a signal to find a different TA.

We have never had a problem having a TA apply an FCC to a booking.

The only problem I've experienced is when Princess used a newer FCC instead of an older FCC closer to it's expiration date. I called my TA & she got Princess to instead use our oldest FCC.

Yes. We do that all the time. The TA gets credit for the booking.

We had that happen once. Princess used my oldest future deposit but my wife's newest one. I called and had it fixed.
