Pacific Pearl leaving the fleet

Recommended Posts

I'd be calling Dawn... but it's a while off.
Dawn is in better condition than Jewel, I would think. I'd say they'd both probably go at the same time, likely before the brand new ship arrives in 2019. I'm not sure when Dawn's next dry dock is. If she gets The Pantry, I'd assume she'll be staying a little while longer.

Don't think she'll be scrapped yet, seeing as it's been than a year since her last upgrade.

Probably heading for the Asian market like so many ships nowadays?

From the official announcement 'Pacific Pearl will be transferred to a new fleet in early April 2017. At their request, details of the new operators will remain confidential.'

Perhaps Pacific Pearl is going to Star cruises with Virgo, Libra, Pisces, Aquarius and Gemini, I saw one of those in HK. A lot of gambling goes on in those ships.

I would say it will be even more private but would guess at it definitely being a floating casino.:D

Perhaps there is a clue there...if its being "transferred to a new fleet " one would presume that means it is not being sold, but remaining in the same Corporate Family?

They have P&O Australia...why not P&O Asia?

I picked up on "Transferred" as well.

Does Carnival have a line in Singapore now?
