ALL things Liberty of th Seas

Recommended Posts

I'm just a lowly "gold" status (but getting closer to that next level!!) Although RC says we get priority boarding, in January, anyone below diamond just waited in a huge line. Also...no special place to wait to disembark, as the website says. Anyone know if us poor lowlies lost these two teeny, tiny perks?

I rarely see special disembarkation lounges for levels under Diamond enymore.

Agreed. It's very rare on any ship. Perks begin at Platinum, and get better as you move along. We are D+ but have rarely used or gone to any disembarkation place, so for us, it's just not a biggie. I do enjoy a shorter line when embarking.

I think the main thing is to focus on what's in between, namely, a great cruise. With or without any perks, the cruise itself and being with my husband and wjth family and friends are the focus.

If it's tremendously important to embark more quickly, there are two options: 1. Book a suite or 2. Sail with a different line who has a fee to get you on the ship faster like FTTF.

I wouldn't say it's "tremendously" important, I was just curious.

Thanks everyone for the responses to my question about MTD. We are looking forward to another cruise on the fantastic Liberty of the Seas in December. Happy Travels everyone.

It's such a great ship. We have a good page on social media for Liberty lubbers. December is a great time to cruise. RC has special decorations and activities for the holidays!

However, on our April 23rd cruise, our Owner's Suite buds didn't get Jorge' to escort them from Schooner until we were already through customs in the Self Assist crowd. So we got in our car ahead of them and were almost through Houston by the time they got theirs. So you never know.

Karen, I'll be watching for your assessment as you get off Vision the day we go.

Interesting. I'm guessing you meant Liberty, not Vision. Which one of LBs concierges just left the company? I think it was Carlos.

Yes. Carlos is not returning. Carlington Berry, from Jamaica, will be coming to Liberty June 11. He is currently on Grandeur.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's really great to have so much to look forward to. Tell me about the media page you spoke of. How do I find it and what is its name?

Karen, I Still Have A While Until I Sail from galveston. April 2018! I have been researching flights and they are quite a bit higher than I expected. Also Looking Around For locations for one or two nights precruise but will wait to book that until I get a better deal on flights. We gave 3 cabins so far with maybe 2 more. People flying from 2 locations.

Wait until closer to time and book Southwest when it first comes out.

Yes I already decided to check southwest when they open. Now delta is around $625 from Raleigh! Southwest comparable times, but in December are about half that. I hope when they open reservations for April that they will be comparable.

When comparing prices, remember that Southwest does not charge for the first two bags.
