I disembarked Infinity two weeks ago at the conclusion of a two week cruise from Valparaiso to Miami. I stayed in an aqua class cabin.

Food was excellent, on par with any Celebrity cruise I've been on in the last several years. Blu had outstanding service, great food if not a sometimes less than desirable menu. Overview Cafe was always top notch. Also dined at Tuscan Grill and Quisine....both are pleasers. The ship is in generally good condition through all public areas but not in cabins. My cabin was worn, dated, the balcony door next to impossible to open, squeaking noises all night and the air conditioner leaked water all over the floor. The carpet had to be suctioned and fans placed in the cabin for drying purposes for part of two days. The cruise was over all enjoyable but these cabins on Infinity need work, mine did not meet Celebrity standards. I did notify staff of problems, some were addressed, some were not. I would cruise on Infinity again....for me that says a lot.

I'm aboard the Infinity right now. (Literally!) Ship feels worn. Still nice, just... like it has had 2,000 people a week on and off her for 15 years. Dings in doors, cabinets, scratches in walls, I concur with the other poster that my balcony door only opens with a metric ton of force, and many of the exterior doors throughout the ship slam like cell doors. Anything replaceable (sheets, towels) are in great shape - anything built in to the ship has seen better days.

Had no problem with heat/AC in the room - sweltering near the equator and the A/C cranked right up. Chilly as we get back to the US, heat warms the room right up.

The silhouette bar (what I would call the crow's nest) was cold every time I was in there. I would see a group of people come in, have a drink, and their shivering women would convince them to leave. This has been going on the whole 15 day cruise. The rest of the public spaces are temporate.

I've cruised Celebrity Equinox before and was really impressed with the Oceanview Buffet. The Infinity lacks what the Equinox has. The buffet is much smaller, and the same items are repeated over and over. The sandwich station is unbelievably slow. Overall the buffet service is surly.

I found the shows to be sub-par, but I'm not a cruise ship entertainment kind of guy in the first place. I'm more of a sit on my balcony and watch the waves guy. And the ship did great with that!

We're booked on this ship in AQ class for Oct 2016 ( ABC Islands ) & 2017 (Pacific Coastal) , Can you post the cabin no.? Did the fix the AC or just deal with the wet floor? Did they fix the balc door?

Does anyone know if a drydock is scheduled soon or if there are plans to update cabin decor? We enjoyed Connie (sister ship) but found some areas...like lounges had not been updated and had a worn look...although BLU and other areas were nice and fresh...and the ship itself was clean, staff great and food excellent . Wonder how Infinity compares

I was on Infinity in January and thought the public areas looked great after drydock. My 2A cabin was fine except that the balcony door whistled at night when in heavy winds. I latched it and that solved the problem.:D

Personally I enjoyed the smaller ship, service in most areas was outstanding except for a sub par cabin attendant who was going home after the cruise and acted like it. Other cabin attendants were excellent, I was just unlucky, I guess.

I am taking Infinity on Pacific Coastal and Alaska next May and looking forward to the cruise.

Infinity was just in drydock last fall. Seems most effort in drydock was spent on the new big screen tv area on top terrace and conversion of Tuscan Grill.

The ship is old by cruise line standards but could be made to feel fresh again with some effort.

I've been on Constellation four times and it is in much better condition than Infinity.

In my case the a/c was repaired and the door was greased.

To be honest my biggest complaint were the constant squeaks coming from inside the walls. In 16 cruises I've never heard anything like this before. I expect it is simply a product of the age of the ship. It was constant, from many areas of the cabin and seem to come from within the walls and floor.

Just off the Valparaiso to Miami cruise and sailed in 1132. No cabin issues . Loved our location on 11. yes the ship is worn a bit but I didn't book on a new ship. Service in Blu was very good. No complaints,.

I must be one of the few cruisers that actually prefers the old style buffet lines on the M class ships. Of course there still are some stations towards the end / back of ship that you can access without going thru the line but I think on the S class, with all stations spread out, it is more difficult to see everything (and then to remember where I saw what, or mix and match) than going thru a line. People are criss crossing the floor everywhere.

We took our first ever Celebrity Cruise on Infinity in January, Valparaiso to Buenos Aires. We like Azamara and have been our a few cruises with them. I was determined not to have expectations too high and was rewarded with a happy experience. I guess I don't need a glitzy new ship....we found our veranda stateroom to be in good condition (compared well with Azamara) and our stewards did a wonderful job keeping us happy. Air conditioning worked well and certainly no issues. The food was very good, sometimes better than others. I can't imagine not finding something on the menu to please and the service in MDR, lunch or dinner, was good. I'm not a buffet kind of person, so can't speak to that. We were always able to find comfortable places to hang out (lots of sea days on this cruise). Everything was clean, comfortable and inviting. And entertainment was always good. I would book another cruise on Infinity in a heartbeat...we like the size of the ship...considered it just a larger version of Azamara Quest. We thought value for dollar was good. Hope this helps.

That's what I think -- if Celebrity wants to get rid of the M-class as EDGE comes on-line, do a thorough upgrade [like Journey and Quest are getting] and move them to Azamara. But I got slammed by people who say you can't have "luxury" with 2k passengers. Well, just wait and watch all the luxury lines creep up to that number. These hulls are good for many more years if given lots of TLC.

I was on the Infinity Feb 28, 2016, Buenos Aires to Valparaiso.

We cruised in Aqua cabin on deck 9.

We really enjoyed dining in BLU. Outstanding service and food.

The buffet was pretty good, we ate there for breakfast, occasional lunch and one dinner.

The ship is clean, a bit dated, however we like the smaller, older ships.

Our cabin had a few stains on the carpet, and the shower leaked like crazy.

We had enough towels to sop up the water after our showers.

The shows in the main theater were great fun. Some better than others, most very enjoyable.

The shows in the lounges were good.

We really enjoyed our cruise and would cruise on the Infinity again.

Hey everyone,

Loved reading the thoughts on the Infinity, as when I was searching a few weeks ago I couldn't find anything much.

I have a few questions, I am sailing on this ship in July to Alaska, and wanted to know what the seating in the theatre was like? traditional theatre seats, bench seating etc.?

Also are there any poker games/tournaments in the casino? (preferably live with a dealer instead of video - and I accept that it's based on interest, but curious if it's offered at all)

what is the furniture on the balcony like? (hoping to spend a fair amount of time out there watching Alaska go by)

Dining room seating, mostly tables, booths (I've seen some ships recently introduce booths which is weird to me unless you are in it as a family or friends only)

Is there anytime dining or only the two seatings?

I apologise for asking, the TA being used at the moment is not my favourite, and I am in Egypt while all planning is taking place in Canada.

I have searched these boards for this information specific to the infinity, but have not had a lot of success. I appreciate any and all help you can offer :)

This is my first time on Celebrity and to Alaska, I'm stoked.

We were on the Infinity Antarctica cruise in February, balcony cabin deck 7. Everything was fine except our balcony door made terrible noises one night by the rubber gaskets rubbing against each other. It was so annoying that we had to move in the middle of the night to an inside cabin. The problem was fixed in 5 mins. the next morning. The problem did not reoccur. The kicker is that after some negotiations we received $704- worth of future cruise credits as compensation for our troubles. Not bad for one sleepless night.

Can anyone tell me who the Officer`s and CC hostess are on the Infinity now. I leave next month.

We just got off the Infinity a few weeks ago B2B from Buenos Aires to Miami. We were in a C3 cabin#8069. The cabin was in good shape and no problems with a/c or heat. We were across from a service door and at 8 each morning you could hear them moving their carts to the hall - really not a problem that late in the morning. The balcony was in good shape, good cabin. We found the overall condition of the ship to be very good considering it's age. The staff is exceptional, and very friendly. The officers were very visible, the Captain is Nikolaos Frantzis, his English is very good and you could understand his announcements. Eddy Jenkins, Cruise Director was also outstanding. The CC hostess, Alexandria, was the best we have ever had. We enjoyed the entertainment, three different production shows and various other acts. The singers and dancers also did several special shows at various venues. On this particular itinerary we had two outstanding Naturalist. We found the food very good, had breakfast a few times in the cafe(we ate later when it was less crowded).Overall, we enjoyed our cruise very much, we are booked on the Infinity in October.

Thanks for the good information. We leave on May 11th. Is there a place on deck 10 by the Ocean View café where you can get special coffee`s like Café Al Bacio on Deck 5 ? ( Latte ect. )

I don't remember seeing one. However, specialty coffees were available in the Elite Breakfast every morning.

Yes, the Infinity has Cafe Al Bacio on Deck 5. The specialty coffees were wonderful as well as the lucious desserts.

I am glad many of you found the food excellent. We were not especially fond of the food choices. Many menus were repeated at least once a week plus there were dishes that just did not sound appealing. The food was prepared ok except for my strip steak which I ordered medium rare which came out well done. They did offer to fix me another but we had already waited quite awhile and my husband was finished. We missed having fresh berries. Most times they were in a thickening much like canned pie filling. We were told South American itineraries have trouble getting fresh fruits. We thought that comment was strange. Breakfasts were good. Service was fairly good except on the first elegant chic night. There were several new crew who just hadn't figured out the system yet. We loved Blu though overall, just wished there had been more choices.

we have two of our upcoming cruises booked on the Infinity..looking forward to them....we also prefer the less chaotic organization of the buffet, as compared to S class...

Does Infinity have Xcelerate internet yet? We leave in 10 days.

I'm on the Infinity now, heading to the Canal, and yes, using Xcelerate internet to reply to you. It's good in the common areas but a little spotty in the stateroom. But Way better than previous Internet experiences on Solstice and Reflection (2 -4 years ago...believe they now have Xcel as well). I haven't tried to run a Speedtest yet to see transfer rates but have watched some short YouTube videos with just a momentary buffering. I heard a friend on this cruise say she was able to FaceTime w a friend in the States a day or two ago and it worked fine for her but she was in a common area. I tried from my stateroom and it didn't work. Did the full 15 day unlimited package and w CC discount (25%) it cost me $10/day. Expensive compared to home but I feel a good deal for the speed and access.

Water that hits the glass runs down and leaks out at the bottom of the doors.. On deck 11 new cabins due to the shape of the shower stall

$10 a day is a nice surprise. We are on 14 day Around the Horn in Jan and I was thinking it was going to be $299 - the elite discount. Would be thrilled if they offered that price for us. The cruise planner online is showing $299 unlimited as of now.
