cantw82cruise Posted August 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2016 I have always spent time and money in the casinos on our 22 cruises. I see people posting all the time about special deals for cruises and comps on the ships. Can anyone tell me how you sign up for this program or what kind of money you have to play to get invites to specials? I receive comps like free rooms and specials in Vegas all the time but nothing from the ship. John

John Make sure you give them your S&S everytime you sit down at a table or place your S&S in the slot machines. Check in with the hosts every now and then and make sure you email the casino department when you go home. jakeT Posted August 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2016 Really base on the amount of money you bet the entire cruise. Slots awardees points on amount of money played. So it total amount of points. You need around 6000 to 8000 points to get notice by casino people. Need 1500 to get free drink card Not even consider for anything if you don't get 1500 points

And if you already have a cruise booked when you gamble on a Carnival ship, the ship-based casino host is not allowed to give you a bounce back offer; however, once you get home, if you think you might qualify for a bounce back offer (free cruise), call your PVP and he/she can check or contact the land-based casino staff and inquire. Or you can just inquire with the land-based casino staff if you do not have confidence in your PVP. The land-based casino staff are allowed to offer you a bounce back offer if you already have a cruise booked. Also keep in mind that Carnival's casino offers are constantly in flux. For example in years past to qualify for an invitation to a fall Ultra Premier cruise you simply had to book and take a Premier cruise. This year, to qualify for the 2017 Ultra Premier cruises, you must get 7,500 points on a SINGLE Premier cruise to qualify. The standards have been greatly tightened. Do you know how many points you typically earn on X number nights on the ship dependent on how long the cruise is? So just like Carnival's pricing strategy that has toughened this year, so have Carnival's casino offers. The "drinks on us" card qualification depends on the length of your cruise. The longer the cruise, the more points it takes to get the free drinks card.
ExFed drvr Posted August 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2016 You have to go to Carnival.com to see your special offers.. Also email the casino department every time you sail and let them know your ship and sail date....Dennis

lsp Posted September 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 15, 2016 Apparently they have changed drastically on their offerings. We have always gotten at least $50.00 casino cash when we boarded, not on "gambling" cruises either. Just did the Breeze on 8/7/16 and had the $50.00. I called this week and emailed because of the Vista on 10/21/16 to see is we would be qualified for casino cash or anything. Nope! They claim they don't do it anymore except on the gambling cruises. I emailed again and explained the Breeze was just a regular cruise and I was told thank you for your inquiry and we hope to see you again. It's not a biggie but when you get something free when you board it just makes you feel special. I guess I'll send my self some flowers to the cabin and sign the card from my loving sweetie. Make my husband wonder. lol
bptex Posted September 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 15, 2016 I usually get an offer for 30% off my next cruise through the casino and I'm far from a big gambler. Just spend $250 or so on the slots.
cruzincurt Posted September 15, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) My DW plays $5 hands ($20/hand) for 3 hours a night on Let it Ride and she gets offers. Also she runs several thousand through video poker during the week (cycles winnings back in). I play $5/$10 Craps but don't get any. So far she had gotten free inside rooms which we upgrade to balcony and deeply discounted other fare offers. Sometimes the offer comes in the mail, sometimes someone calls us with an offer. We have no idea how the casino fairy works. We get offers from Carnival, NCL and HAL, never a nickle from Royal. mlrm Posted September 15, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 15, 2016 My wife and I play blackjack 5 to 6 hours a night. On our last cruise we were given a couple bottles of wine, treats to the room, dinner at the stake house, and a free cruise on the Glory in the captions suite along with drinks on us cards. Get to know the casino hosts. It helps. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Kechin Yer Eye Posted September 15, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 15, 2016 After reading thru this thread last week, I thought what the heck, let me email casinos at sea and find out if they have anything for me on our cruise in a couple of weeks. BTW, I am booked on a casino rate since I did play for several hours in the casino in Aug of 2015. Within a day I got an email back that said you are already booked at a great casino rate but you also have $75 in casino cash waiting for you! Wooo Hoooo, I wasn't expecting anything, but this thread made me think to at least ask.........then the more I thought about it, I decided to email them again on behalf of my DH (he plays very little, but he does play) and got almost the same response back only with $20 in casino cash waiting. Long story short, we have 2 rooms booked as we are taking another couple with us for their 20 wedding anniversary present.....that is why the casino response was the same. So the lesson learned here is you never know what kind of offers you may have if you don't at least put forth the effort to ask. ;)
cruzincurt Posted September 16, 2016 #14 Share Posted September 16, 2016 You should also check at the cashier cage once on board. They have a printout and can check if you are due anything. I don't think they are going to come looking for you, it's up to you to ask.
djcass4199 Posted September 16, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 16, 2016 I'm glad I saw this thread! I am booked under a casino rate for our upcoming Triumph cruise. Just sent an email. Curious as to what might be available.

TNShadyLady Posted September 16, 2016 #17 Share Posted September 16, 2016 What does a bounce-back cruise offer generally consist of? A free interior? Complimentary upgrades? Is it for any cruise, or only certain ships/ports/dates?
happywife0921 Posted September 16, 2016 #18 Share Posted September 16, 2016 My bounce back was for a free interior room, with the option to upgrade for an additional fee. Of course we were just fine with the interior and they do give you lots of options on ports and dates. I spend around 5-6 hours a day and no more than $500 dollars total, and always make sure they have my sail and sign card. I once was told they're really looking at the amount of time you're spending in there to get offers. I'm booked on a cruise leaving Sunday, but I have two casino offers on the table already and one is for $200 for an interior room with $100 back in onboard credit. So for me my time in there has been worth it lol.
CasinoKVP Posted October 23, 2019 #19 Share Posted October 23, 2019 I thought that this was good to know about Carnival Casino Comps: As far as drinks: Once slot players reach 1,000 points on a single voyage that is less than 5 days, they will receive free drinks in the casino. It takes 1,500 points on cruises 5 days or greater. Table players must reach play that is comparable in order to receive free drinks. (Carnival will not reveal the relationship between points and play, but points are based on play, not losses.) Djptcp Posted October 24, 2019 #22 Share Posted October 24, 2019 I always have at least 3-4 casino offers all the time (Weekend Getaways, Premier, Getaway, and Dealer's Choice offers). When they expire, new ones appear in my Offers when I log into Carnival. I play slots and usually accrue 3000-4000 points on 7+day cruises and 2500-3000 points on shorter cruises. I also receive bounce back offers on the last cruise night even if I have another Carnival cruise booked. My husband plays table games and never accrues many points at all but still receives the same offers, usually for discounted cabins but little casino cash or FunPlay. Obviously we take my offers as I not only receive the deeply discounted or free cabins, but also $500-1000 casino cash or FunPlay. I disagree from earlier posts - I have never accrued 6000-8000 points on a cruise and still receive the big promotions all the time, I receive bounce back offers even if I have a Carnival cruise booked, and DH receives promotions all the time even though he accrues very few points on a cruise. We will be taking our 37th cruise on Carnival again in a week.
bamelin Posted October 24, 2019 #23 Share Posted October 24, 2019 Another thing to consider -- Carnival remembers you played in the casino for a LONNNNG time. I last cruised with them in 2013 and maybe dropped $1000 in the casino between my wife and I (we used the same card). Found a casino offer linked to my Carnival loyalty # a couple months ago when I logged into my Carnival account (the one that gives you $500 OBC). So if you have EVER played in the casino on Carnival, it's worth checking to see if there are casino discounts/comps you can take advantage of. In my case it was 6 years ago. Jim and Monika Posted October 26, 2019 #24 Share Posted October 26, 2019 We have had many offers, which recycle after they are supposed to end. But to be truthful, the same cruises can be taken for less money without the offer and booking through a travel agent. Now there are some exceptions, but few and hard to find the cruise that actually comes close to the savings they are advertising as "save up to $"
