Budget Queen Posted December 30, 2016 #26 Share Posted December 30, 2016 You will get a bottle with each nights dinner. Also you can do different places with each coupon. Enjoy, and second the best part is laundry. We are doing a B2B2B next year for total of 39 day, and get 6 free bags. Sure helps with the luggage costs. I'm just off a b2b2b, 34 days, and only brought 1 bottle home, can't be bothered with schlepping more. :) Left the other 5 behind.
jaja Posted December 30, 2016 #27 Share Posted December 30, 2016 This is not correct on some ships. They will NOT allow you to use your "perks" split. Not sure how often you sail or where, but with 9 cruises that I took this year, only 2 ships allowed me to use the voucher split between 2 nights. Was denied all the rest. I've also been platinum about 15 years (when you first qualified with 14 cruises) and over 500 days now. So, not a new perk for me. This is true...as I previously posted...went solo on Gem ...asked Lattitudes person about splitting dinner...told no. While I did not ask in LeBistro if I could...ran into restaurant manager during cruise..was told ..correct ."no splitting " for solos...but she did , as a courtesy..arrange for my extra dinner which I appreciated very much. Swells1 Posted December 31, 2016 #29 Share Posted December 31, 2016 Yes, you get an extra point for booking 90 days out, booking a suite and booking a latitudes insider offer. So, if you did all these, you would get 4 points a day. 90 days? I think it's 9 months.

Not interested in the late booking price dumps? Those are what I pick up. :) I cruise at least every month. Haven't paid single supplements all 2016. Enjoy your sailings!!!! :) Edited December 31, 2016 by Budget Queen

Those are what I pick up. :) I cruise at least every month. Haven't paid single supplements all 2016. Enjoy your sailings!!!! :) I'm disabled so flying to Florida and other ports makes disembarkation stressful, so I try to leave from ports within driving distance. I cruise at least every other month, but I work full-time so I'm limited by vacation time (6 weeks after 25 years - but it's still not enough! lol) Another reason that flying the day before to Florida or other ports doesn't work for me. All my cruises are casino comps (no single supplement - just port taxes & admin fee), so I don't generally pay attention to the retail rates - but even without the casino the need for an accessible cabin would generally lock me out of those last minute deals. I have tried to get last minute freebie cruises from the casino and most times I'm just out of luck because accessible cabins are sold out. :( I hadn't thought of it until now, but maybe my Casinos At Sea tier level (VIP) is what gives me leeway with the double dinner Platinum perk? The maitre d never mentions that, but since I am on the same ships frequently and most of the folks know me as a casino guest maybe that is why they give me a pass on the dinner perk? For whatever reason, I'm happy they do - and I think the OP should surely give it a shot!

I just got off the Sun, sailing for 5 weeks, also sailed the same ship for 4 weeks in March. 9 weeks in one year, certainly was noticed. Frequent recognition experienced, even with first name. NMLady Posted December 31, 2016 #35 Share Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) Do they still offer concierge service? Cruising first time in Non Haven on Escape.Thx Concierge service for Platinum perk is almost non-existent since they are busy with suite guests. Our last four cruises we were platinum and didn't even receive the concierge phone number. What kind of service were you hoping for? Sand and Seas Posted December 31, 2016 #37 Share Posted December 31, 2016 If both my husband and I are platinum members do we each get a dinner voucher? Yes, you each should have a Le Bistro voucher in your name waiting in your cabin. Also can each have the laundry perk. But, you both have to share the box of 4 Godiva chocolates;)

Our last four cruises we were platinum and didn't even receive the concierge phone number. What kind of service were you hoping for? That's pretty cruddy of them! We never use them for anything but getting comedy reservations. Our last concierge was useless in the Haven , but his assistant changed a dinner for us on our anniversary and switched some comic reservations. We decide to go with 2 mini suites with large balconies for less than 1/2 the price of staying In an H anything. Going in peak summer and have had crappy co- quests in the Haven and perks totally NOT a worth the price . Went on a half -empty Getaway in September and it wasn't worth the extra bucks either. Taken over by loud idiots. With 4 ports and 3 teens we got a nice price on the larger balconies-and we always gladly take the laundry perk . Happy New Year! Our last four cruises we were platinum and didn't even receive the concierge phone number. What kind of service were you hoping for? We used the Concierge on the Escape to take care of a couple show and dinner ressies when we could not get in via the normal route. We were just Platinum, not in a suite. I don't recall whether there was a letter or something in the cabin with the number, but I obviously got it somehow. Not going to let the fact that they cater to Suites stop me from using the perk NCL has said I am entitled to. I will track them down!

As for catering to suites- - have had two o the last 4 concierges ignore us. Certain Haven guests seem more important ( gag) than others😁😁
Lido_Deck Posted January 1, 2017 #42 Share Posted January 1, 2017 You will get an envelop with the perks in it. You can redeem the meal voucher for 1 person. You don't need to do anything. You can actually redeem the meal voucher twice as a solo, but you have to go back to the same restaurant.

NMLady Posted January 2, 2017 #44 Share Posted January 2, 2017 You're just not talking to the right people. It seems to vary according to ship. On some ships no matter who you talk to you cannot use your Platinum dinner perk twice as a solo.

tmilak Posted January 2, 2017 #48 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We will reach Platinum 6 days in to our 14 day Transatlantic...can we take advantage of any perks? Im afraid not. Your account is not credited until after your cruise is completed. Unless you are sailing a B2B?, which would then in give you platinum status in the second half of your B2B. don't-use-real-name Posted January 2, 2017 #50 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We will reach Platinum 6 days in to our 14 day Transatlantic...can we take advantage of any perks? It is worth a try to contact the (Next) Cruise Consultant on board and relate what is happening in your case. No NCL will not upgrade your status until after the cruise but the Cruise Consultant may off you a free dinner with bottle of wine for two and priority boarding tendering etc. small things that can be done without a lot of fuss. But then NCL doesn't need to do this. But if you don't contact the NCL representative nothing at all will happen until your next cruise. Oh it helps to rave positively about NCL and possibly book the Next Cruise Certificates showing your appreciation for any offerings granted ! Have any other comments or feedback share them - you might get a token plate of chocolate covered strawberries (or nothing) ! Handle this like the recent Grinch that stole the Holiday Cheer and all you may receive is a lump of coal instead of your order for lobster. You should get the drift - wireless message - be nice - but do show an interest and contact that Consultant and have an interesting conversation.
