Craziest thing you've seen another passenger do

We were on the Eclipse April 2016 14 night Caribbean Cruise with this gentleman. Thin build, 50'ish, wore his hair really long. He always carried a bag with his flags and gifts. On all of his Cruises he brings gifts on board with him and gives them to the staff throughout the Cruise. Not just the staff that waits on him. My wife and I talked with for awhile. Can't remember his name. Very personable man and the staff all adored him. Sorry for the hijack, back to the fun posts.

I always thought that guy was Gregg Allman.

The craziest thing I've ever seen a passenger do is endlessly complain on Cruise Critic about how everything is going down hill, cost cutting, etc. - yet keep coming back over and over again. I don't get it. Don't like it anymore? Book another line and move on. That's what I would do. Yet some passengers on here have been starting negative threads and complaining since I joined in 2005. Crazy.

This happened just last week on a different cruise line. It was at a 7 course - wine pairing special dinner. There was a couple sitting across from me. We had been having nice conversation. He turned to his wife and asked her if she wanted to 'get it on' tonight. A nod. He proceeded to pull a blue pill out of his pocket and bite off half. He asked the other gentlemen at the table if anyone needed the other half. They all declined.

We stopped at guest services on the afternoon of day we boarded for a brief request. In front of us was a “mom” who was trying to ask the guest services person (delightful young woman from Bulgaria) that since she had 2 teenage boys in next room that the “pornography be disabled” on the TV in both their rooms.

After a bit of confusion and discussion, the woman in guest services finally said, “I will see what I can do, but I thinks its all just regular porn”

Last cruise on the Eclipse in December 2016:

A woman at the Martini Bar (a stranger) telling me about all her problems meeting men and maintaining relationships. She didn't feel that her herpes outbreaks should matter, because "she had so much else to offer"

A woman hand-picking olives and whatever else she didn't like, out of one of the dishes at the buffet. She thought nothing of it. That became the end of the buffet for me, other than morning freshly made omelets.

Can we all take a pledge to start calling people out who do disgusting things at the buffet?

That is something I always do. I'm the one who tells folks that there are tongs to use, if they used their hands, and then I loudly call over a buffet server and say "this person touch these with their hands and by health codes you now have to throw it all away". On one of my Celebrity cruises, a woman dipped her finger in a dish and I called over the buffet server and told them and the lady said "I didn't touch it", as she was licking it off her finger.

It was Chip Chase.....Celebrity's Santa Claus! He is devoted to Celebrity cruise members and brings them gifts on every cruise. He and his wife Jenny, who live on a ranch in Texas,, cruise eight times a year. He has a loyal following of friends on Facebook. A nicer couple you will never meet.

Carol Ann Westbrook. Brantford, Ontario.

Hysterical! I'm thinking that a comedian/comedienne who does stand up on cruise ships really needs to be reading this stuff and taking notes. He/she would have 'em 'rolling in the aisles'!

We would do the same. No problem!

I wouldn't give it a second thought!! This is how notorious spreads! People are either clueless or plain inconsiderate! I also do not want to see boobs or junk on my cruises. Just sayin...

It was many years ago --- our family was having dinner in the master dining room on formal night --- there were balloons draped above each table. All of a sudden, this lady from a nearby table jumped up from her seat and began to pop all the balloons at our table and proceeded to go around popping balloons at other tables. Needless to say she was politely asked to leave the dining room.

On the Equinox a few years back, there was an elderly lady carrying her drink with a big scowl on her face. She clearly was not happy over something. The poor pool butler just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time as she approached him to explain her dismay over the poor quality of glasses as her's had a hole in it and needed to be replaced. At first I thought she must be joking as I have a friend who is an avid drinker that makes this similar statement to waiters and waitresses all the time. Seeing the whole exchange she was clearly convinced that her glass had a hole in it causing the moisture on the exterior of the glass and she was not pleased! To her this obviously had nothing to do with the glass gathering condensation as it sat on the hot pool deck. The pool butler handled it very well and smiled briefly at me as he witnessed me holding back the laughter.

Chip and Jenny are crew favorites and not just because he brings them gifts. Agree that they are two of the nicest people you would ever meet. They are both "Double" Zenith with more than 6000 points and cruise at least two weeks each month. Hoping to see them soon.

We were walking down our hallway to our cabin and walked past an open door to see a girl sitting on her bed crying. Her boyfriend/husband was saying, "But it was only kissing, I swear". This was on day two, so it must have been a long cruise for them.

Oh man I just spit my water all over the screen after reading this. That is classic!

A couple making whoopee..

Probably 10 years ago. Late one night, I could not sleep. Threw on some clothes, and decided to grab some water in the buffet. Decided to just wander around the ship. This was probably 2 in the morning. Headed to the aft pool, to check out the wake. This ship has the clam shell lounge chairs, at the aft pool. I heard a noise, and was startled that I wasn't alone. Looked towards the noise, and holy crap. Going at it like little bunnies, buck naked!:eek: I quickly turned around and left. But I did make a note to myself, to stay away from that particular clam shell.
