Craziest thing you've seen another passenger do

Chip and Jenny are crew favorites and not just because he brings them gifts. Agree that they are two of the nicest people you would ever meet. They are both "Double" Zenith with more than 6000 points and cruise at least two weeks each month. Hoping to see them soon.

They are indeed a delightful couple.

One the first day of a cruise I was sitting by the retractable room Lido pool reading (well actually sleeping I guess). I awoke to a very loud, shrill woman's voice (standing on pool deck) shouting in a very nasty tone at a young woman in the pool. She was ordering her out of the pool as she wanted to swim and she would NOT swim in a pool with a (racial nasty term). Apparently security had already been called and they soon appeared. The woman would not stop depending to be able to swim in the pool without a xxxxxx in it. Finally Security almost had to drag her away. Peace returned and the woman in the pool immediately became a cruise passenger celebrity and befriended by many who felt so embarrassed at what had happened and with praise for the way she handled it. She remained calm and did not get angry back as many of us would if verbally attacked the way she was.

Well on about the 3rd day the word got around the ship that there had been another incident (different victim) propelled by the same "screamer" and at the next port she was seen being escorted off the ship, luggage and all, by security. The local police "accepted" her. I suspect their only job was to be sure she got on the plane home. We will never know.

This would have occurred in the early or mid 1990s. Long after I would have expected such public behavior, but then my whole life has been spent in the mellow parts of the US.

I wouldn't give it a second thought!! This is how notorious spreads! People are either clueless or plain inconsiderate! I also do not want to see boobs or junk on my cruises. Just sayin...

To be fair I have nothing wrong with Biggie being spread around. His music was revolutionary.

I too have seen my fair share of rude behavior, which often seems to occur at the Ocean View Cafe. I don't have a good story about that, but while on the Summit last year, my fiance and I had just finished the galley tour and were now in the Tuscan Grille where they had set up examples of the food at the specialty restaurants. We decided to make dinner reservations and walked up to the maitre d' who was not helping anyone else at the moment. We started chatting with him, when an older gentleman came up and excused himself, saying, "I just have a quick question, if you don't mind." Without pausing for our answer, he proceeds to tell the maitre d' that he is "elite level" and wants reservations for later tonight. The maitre d' quickly took the reservation and the guy walks off. The whole thing only lasted a minute, but we just looked at each other in disbelief and didn't say anything. I think we were too shocked that someone could act so rude and entitled. Looking back now, it would have been nice if the maitre d' had told him he needed to wait until he was finished with us, but maybe he judged it was better to deal with quickly and get it over with.

They're only rude if you allow them to be! Speak up next time!

On an Alaska cruise a few summers ago, my husband and I frequented the Martini Bar every night. We saw the same woman get ridiculously drunk every night and flirt with the bartenders. On the last night of the cruise, we went to have a final martini. The woman was also at the bar, drunk and flirting. Towards the end of the night, she lifted up her shirt and exposed her bare breasts to the bartenders. Of course we were sitting directly across from her and the image has been permanently ingrained in my memory.

A couple of cruises ago while eating dinner, we witnessed a fellow passenger put a whole bone (rib or chop) in her mouth and remove it with every scrap of meat gone. It was like something you'd see in a cartoon. My husband commented that she must be popular back home. I don't doubt it.

We took my mother on a cruise and she was next door to us, we had ocean view rooms. Our luggage had arrived and we went over to help get her luggage in her room.

We encountered a very sweaty and confused woman. I asked her what was the matter, and she responded that she needed a screwdriver. Mom, what do need a screwdriver for?

So I can open this D**M window. My DH adjusted the A/C.

Well, I have two and I guess it is a toss up....you can decide. On our very first cruise ever the cruise director on the Veracruz, anyone remember that one, was entertaining in a lounge doing a little comedy and singing. The cruise director singled out a rather attractive young lady to sing "Hello" to up close and personal. The young lady's boyfriend was close by and not amused. The cruise director noticed the boyfriend's dismay and turned up the heat on the young lady. This was too much for the boyfriend who then leaped out of his seat and leveled the cruise director with a right hook. After that the CD pretty much stayed away from that young lady and every other attached female.

On our 25 th anniversary we decided to treat ourselves to a luxury cruise on the Silversea Silver Wind. On this cruise were the most wonderful yet eccentric passengers I have ever met. On this cruise was a Russian gymnast who rather enjoyed showing her body and would come to dinner barely clothed with sheer dress and thong underneath. The old boys at our table were definitely seasoned cruise veterans. Somehow they had discovered you could use the silver soup spoons as an effective yet subtle mirror. So, every time the gymnast came in the dining room these geezers armed themselves with their soup spoons and followed her progress across the room. We could not believe it, and when we realized what they were doing, we couldn't stop laughing. These are what cruise memories are made of!

We stopped at guest services on the afternoon of day we boarded for a brief request. In front of us was a “mom” who was trying to ask the guest services person (delightful young woman from Bulgaria) that since she had 2 teenage boys in next room that the “*********** be disabled” on the TV in both their rooms.

After a bit of confusion and discussion, the woman in guest services finally said, “I will see what I can do, but I thinks its all just regular porn”

Good thing I didn't read this at work! Almost choked myself!! Good thing I wasn't drinking anything

This is the best thread ever. Thanks all for sharing. Please keep 'em coming... And I am with Ron White on the boob stories...

Our cabin steward got a nice eyefull of my wifes on our last cruise. She thought it was rather funny the poor steward was mortified. well he acted that way, probably won a few bucks in the "seen another naked passenger" pool;) I was down at the World Class Bar and missed the whole thing.

It was our first cruise back in 2002 sailing the Galaxy out of Baltimore for a 10 night cruise. We had to shuttle on small buses to the ship from check-in. On the shuttle a woman was speaking loud enough for all of us to hear her story. A couple had spent the night at their home in Maryland; she and her husband had dropped the couple off at the pier, then pretended to go home. Instead they waited a bit, checked themselves in for the cruise and were going to surprise the couple by joining them on the cruise. She was over-the-top excited about this surprise. Fast forward 3 nights later. As we were walking in to the dining room, we overheard this same women, again speaking loudly enough for everyone around to hear, that said couple were not so happy that they were joined on the cruise. She was aghast that they were not wanted on the cruise. I wondered if the other couple was able to avoid them for the rest of the cruise and how awkward it would be running into each other.

Years ago, on our honeymoon cruise (1983) back in the day you spent sea-days at the pool--sunbathing and maybe drinking. Guest were advice to wear plenty of sunscreen. Well, one young lady fell asleep on her lounger, had a towel covering her. Well, she wasn't laying on a towel--- the chairs back then were wide strips of vinyl going across chair. The sun actually reflected down on the teak deck, reflected back up undernearth her chair. She woke up several hours later with a stripe sunburn!!! Her face, arms, legs all red and white stripe!!! A very red (probably painful) burn

I often cruise solo and have become accustomed to occasionally being "overlooked". I take it in stride and have no problem quietly asserting myself when a couple try to go around me standing solo in a line up for something.

One afternoon, I had grabbed a late lunch from the Lido buffet and hunted for a clean, empty table to sit at. I was enjoying my meal when a group of 4 people passed by looking for a table to dine at. They settled on the table beside me which had a few dishes left over from the last diners. One of the group stacked the dirty dishes, and removed them from their table. But instead of moving them to another empty table, to my surprise, disgust and annoyance, they deposited them on my table, right in front of where I was eating! It was as if I wasn't even there.

I was so shocked, I was actually speechless. I finished my meal quickly and left.

I would have put them put them back on the other table and made a very sarcastic comment. I was going to say that I would have dumped them on the other table or maybe on their food plates but why make more cleanup work for the wait staff.
