Grand Suite pricing

I understand that a "good deal" varies from person to person, but from experienced cruisers out there, what have you seen as "good" pricing on a grand suite? I don't mean the out of this world pricing that you found one time on a blue moon, but that with proper planning you can get on a regular basis.

I keep running into prices like 3700+/pp and that seems high to me for what a GS is. Thoughts ? (oh .. i'm mostly interested in Alure/harmony/symphony 2018 sailings)

Unfortunately those ships are the most expensive. I'm trying to book those for 2019 but it's pushing $10000 for 4 people. It's a huge jump from the junior suites (which I know don't include much). I haven't seen the prices you're talking about but I usually see around $2500 per person. If it we're just my husband and I we would gladly pay it but since we travel with 2 teens who barely take advantage of the perks it becomes not worth it. GS on freedom class is much less but, again, that class just doesn't have the perks.

Wow. Even on Independence I couldn't get that. It was $240 per person per day. If I could get that on Oasis class I'd jump on it.

I've found Oasis class prices to be higher than the same category on other ships. Hard to even get a JS for $200pp/pd on Oasis class.

We really like cruising in GS, have been paying about 1600-1700 a cruise each for 7 days and have a great deal on 9 day cruise later that is less than 200 a day(on Voyager and Freedom class ships) . But prices on Oasis etc seem to start about 3k per person or more for 7 day cruise. This is the reason we have yet to sail on the newer ships

those are the newest ships with the most bells and whistles. so while I can get a GS for under $5K on other ships, finding anything under $7K is problematic.

especially since they have all the 'real' new suite perks ( like specialty dining, drink packages, wi fi.. all of which I have to pay for on the smaller classes)

I agree.

Just booked 3 Grand Suites for 2 on the Oasis. Sailing 9-9-18, 10-7-18 and 1-20-19. Average price per day was $760 for the 2 of us. Price included our Diamond Plus discount. Insurance was not included.

  • 6 months later...

Occasionally there are good deals out there. While we were on Harmony of the Seas a few weeks ago we booked the Oasis of the Seas GS for 2 people at $3,080 total + free gratuities and $375 OBC. The price did include the D+ balcony discount @ $225 since it was less than 6 months out. I could have booked a L1 crown loft for an extra $1,200 but didn't think it was worth the extra $.

Clarea; $200/pp/night for a GS? I want to shop where you shop!

Sailed to Alaska on HAL is a Suite in 2015 and paid $328/pp/night and that included the premium drink package, $200 OBC and free WiFi plus all the other suite perks.

Sailing to Canada/New England on RC next Fall in a Grand Suite on Serenade and will pay $389/pp/night. BOGO offer. No drink package. $100 OBC. No free WiFi.

I just booked a Crown Loft for 3500 (Nov 12 on Allure) total with free gratuities with my D+ discount and a GA State resident discount.

I pays to watch for the good deals, they are out there you just have to watch for them.

On Symphony they want $13,222.02 for an L2 crown loft. [emoji31][emoji857]

I’m currently in at $4500 for a JS for a week.

September 2018.

I had a balcony a few years back on a TransAtlantic, 16 nights, on Legend of the Seas. Yes, it was a small ship but I'd never done a TA. Booked a regular balcony for $2400. I got an email asking if I'd like to upgrade to a GS for $27 per night; Absolutely. We ended up paying about $3200 for that cruise. Such a good time and great ports at that.

Just off the Harmony in a GS...loved it !

Started pricing for next Sept/Oct.

GS on Allure runs about $2200.pp & Harmony is about $1000. more

I have lots of time & will keep checking.

When It gets down to the Allure price, I will book.

We booked a GS on Harmony for the week before Easter 2019, right before NRDs were introduced. The cost for 2 adults + 1 teen was about $7k. Oddly, that price was lower than the cost of a JS for 3. We haven't decided yet whether we'll go. The price is tough to swallow for a Caribbean cruise, but we were in an AquaTheater suite on Allure earlier this year and were spoiled by the sky class perks!

That is a great price. Competes somewhat with our Casino Rates.

In May 2017 we booked a GS on the LOS for May 2018 during a 30% off sale. We are booked at $220.00 per day, per person, including the taxes

We have friends who decided last week they wanted to go too. There was 1 GS left on the sailing. With the BOGO 50% off "Sale" they would have had to pay $376.00 per night, per person. Needless to say, they are not going with us since they did not want to pay nearly $2200 more than we will pay.

Funny thing is, I called them last May and told them about the great deal we got, but they said it seemed expensive to them! And, ours is not a non-refundable, but the one they were offered was.

Don't you have to pay for dining, drinks etc on the big ships.
