Everything.. Norwegian BLISS! - launch April 2018 -

Recommended Posts

I see myself there too most evenings, after the kids go to bed. hopefully it's open late. Is there a whiskey list floating around somewhere?

Not sure about the whiskey list, but The Humidor is literally right next to the Maltings Whiskey Bar on deck 8. [emoji2]

I hope you are right. I have looked over the deck plans and can't find a spot for it. They will deal with it, but it is where they spent most of their time.

I thought I saw it Aft on Deck 19 earlier today but now it hard to tell.

Has anyone noticed any special Alaska features other than the atriums? Maybe the Karts have studded winter tires What a they doing to protect all the outside areas?

Stu

The ship will be sailing Alaska during the summer months, so it's not like it will be hitting -30 temperatures with 2 feet of snow. It will be chilly, but not winter-type weather.

Sugarcane Mojito Bar appears to have expanded a bit, taking over the real estate previously owned by the Escape's wine bar and expanding out onto the Waterfront...

Along with the expansion comes the possibility of a small stage and a microphone...

The wine bar has relocated down the hall, in what may be a smaller footprint in front of La Cucina...

one big tv screen at the sun deck, maybe movies under the stars in the evening (hope)? like the sun deck without the bar between the pools.

I read somewhere that on Alaska cruises they can't have parties, movies, etc. at night outside. The noise level has to be kept low. Is that true?

"...and an expansive casino featuring hundreds of slot machines and table games to suit the likes of novice and pro gamblers alike. In a first for Norwegian, the casino will now offer a smoking and a non-smoking casino to cater to all guest preferences."

So is this a partitioned-off casino smoking section?

That would free up the entire 6-7-8 common corridors to be smoke-free, eliminating one of the most common gripes for the BA and BA+ ships.

Love. This! I'm absolutely spending time there with a nice, rich cigar and a glass of bourbon.

Unless they stop letting cigarette smokers in there, it is not a nice place to enjoy a good cigar and a bourbon. Both the Breakaway and the Escape Cigar lounges are ruined by cigarette smoke[emoji24]

I agree; my wife and I were just talking about that, actually.

I am one of the complainers about the smoke. :) I am so glad they are doing that. To each their own, but I hate having to suffer through it.

It would be amazing if they actually sectioned off the casino, time will tell if they follow through with this!!

Ugh, tell me about it. I love the smell of pipe and cigar smoke and occasionally like to smoke a cigar myself. Cigarette smoke is horrible and totally ruins the atmosphere. Unless they're clove cigarettes, those are acceptable in scent.

I was really hoping for a covered pool. One that retracts so in the Caribbean they can open it and in Alaska the could shut it.... oh well.... it will still be beautiful and there are always the hot tubs and the spa

Is there not an escape room on Bliss? Nothing jumped out at me when I skimmed through it.

The "Escape Room" is just an event that takes place in a venue... I believe the Supper Club on the Escape. On the Bliss, this would translate to the Q Texas Smokehouse, but I imagine it could be held elsewhere.

Compared to its home on the Dawn, Los Lobos is taking over a HUGE area by dislocating Moderno. I hope they take advantage of the real estate and retain/expand the ultra-cool bar area.

The Los Lobos bar on the Dawn...

My concern about the bar is the placement of the nearby "A-List Bar" between Los Lobos and Cagney's...

The two renderings of Los Lobos show no indication of a bar area, unless it's just inside the entrance adjacent to the A-List...

I was hopeful that a Los Lobos bar would spill out onto the Waterfront, as there are few better places to enjoy tequila than outside overlooking the water. I originally thought this was a possibility, especially considering the absence of 5 o'clock somewhere on the Waterfront (replaced with Cavern Club)...

I would expect that the A-list bar will serve both Cagney's and Los Lobos just like Prime Meridian serves Cagney's and Moderno on the the other ships. It is a shame if they don't have an outside bar area since I fully agree waterfront and tequila would go hand-in-hand.

Oh. So what do they do? Is it the same concept as an "escape room"?

I don't feel tequila here...

...but after a few tequila shots I may not care.

I just realized this rendering gives us another glimpse of Los Lobos, with no sign of a bar.
