I've looked through Celebrity website and I'm not 100% clear on what the credit can be used for. It says it can be used for speciality restaurants, excursions and other things. I'm not clear what "other things" are ?

Anyone ?

thanks

You can use it for shopping, daily gratuities, casino play, or drinks on board if you don't have a drink package

Anything that gets billed to your sea pass card shows as a debit. Your $300 will act as a credit. So the first $300 you spend will be covered. That could be goods from the shop, a bottle of wine for your cabin, a massage at the spa - whatever you decide to spend money on.

On RCI cruises, you can't use OBC in the casino. My next cruise is on the Equinox with $450 in OBC. Are you saying I won't have to lose my own money? That's great!

They give you promotional chips for the tables and credit on you seapass card all the winnings you make you can keep the on board credit stays with the card or the chips. For example you get a $5 promotional chip for the table games use it as your bet and you win you keep the winnings.

Yes whatever OBC you spend on promo chips or slot credit goes back to the house (loss). Any win you get to cash out in USD. If you put 100 on your card from OBC as slot credit and then spin 10 times on a dollar slot and the balance on the slot is $110 and you cash out you would only get $20 (winnings since you bet $1 x 10) on the ticket and would have a $90 balance which has to be played and can't be converted directly to cash.

Pretty much, I believe that the only thing you cannot use it for is a future cruise credit.

Last month, I had three perks and some additional onboard credit. Instead of going to the casino, I bought an iPad with it ... tax free to boot.
