leaveitallbehind Posted June 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2017 I don't believe there are any that do anymore, at least not that I am aware of. HAL I think was one of the last to permit it but I believe they have stopped allowing that now as well. Most will have designated smoking areas on certain sides of the pool and perhaps promenade decks, and some will permit it inside the casinos, but that typically is it. Krazy Kruizers Posted June 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Yes, HAL has stopped smoking on the balconies/verandahs. But there are a couple of designated areas where you can smoke -- like the aft pool area by the bar.

Sequim88 Posted June 28, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 28, 2017 I was floored recently when the Safety and Orientation channel on the TV (playing when we got to cabin) discussed Holland America Line smoking policy and said that eCigs (ie. "vaping") were OK in the cabin. I did a big double take at that policy but then thought perhaps they are residue free enough to not present a cleaning issue. Might be a bit of a safety net for some smokers.
happy cruzer Posted June 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 28, 2017 No problem with e cigs. I think they should be free to anyone trying to quite smoking. The areas for smoking are getting smaller. If you smoke look at the lines that allow smoking in the casino plus the adjacent bar.

SantaFeFan Posted June 29, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 29, 2017 Princess allows e-cigs in cabins but not on balconies. On Celebrity, Azamara and Royal Caribbean e-cigs are not allowed in staterooms, on balconies or anywhere inside the ships.

sail7seas Posted June 29, 2017 #13 Share Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Per the link posted previously by Bob, no - they don't. (Just checked :)) I rarely click links provided here and cerrtainly would not cllick a link ab out smoking While OP is researching smoking on cruise ships, my memention of Seabourn was to suggest they look into whether Seabourn is an option Edited June 29, 2017 by sail7seas
SusieKay Posted June 29, 2017 #14 Share Posted June 29, 2017 I was very disappointed to discover on our March cruise on the Koningsdam that smoking was allowed in the casino by active players at any time. So basically there are no smoke free hours.
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 2, 2017 #15 Share Posted July 2, 2017 The link that Bob provided really should provide all of the answers you seek. It is a legitimate link so no worries. Keith

pseudoware Posted July 2, 2017 #17 Share Posted July 2, 2017 They should make smokers go someplace deep in the bowels of the ship where others don't have to be subjected to their 2nd hand toxins. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk A door into the exhaust stack that opens to a "lounge" area inside. That way their smoke would be swept away by the smoke from the ship's engines, and non-smokers would not have anything to complain about because it would be completely out of the way. ;p

wowzz Posted July 10, 2017 #20 Share Posted July 10, 2017 After the recent UK tv programme about exhaust pollution from cruise liners, smoking is the last thing to worry about on a cruise. If you are in an aft cabin, be very afraid!
