Cher7 Posted July 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2017 At one time it was possible, for a fee to invite guests onboard for a couple of hours to have a look around and have lunch before sail away, is this still being done and if so, how do you arrange it? easyboy Posted July 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2017 Yes they still have the BVE Experience. You can call Princess for the schedule for the ship and on which port they have it. Sent from my iPad using Forums

You have to call Princess. They only allow so many per sailing. Sometimes the people on the phone don't know about BVEs. So you have to call back sometimes :) or ask for a supervisor to help. It's $39 per person and they can stay up until an hour before sail away. If you have a cruise to book soon you can use the $39 towards a future cruise (think it needs to be booked within 60 days). You can also get a Future Cruise Deposit when you are on a BVE. So, you can write your information out, put your credit card number on it. Drop it in the box, use BVE for cabin number and have it for next time. They will email you the information. It works out great if you have a cruise to book because you can use both credits. I love doing BVE's! My sister will join us that way whenever she isn't traveling with us. It's a fun afternoon.
skynight Posted July 22, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2017 It is the BVE. It is only at certain ports and only on boarding day. Call Princess to book.
Rare geoherb Posted July 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2017 We had a great time doing a BVE on the Regal after our cruise on the Caribbean Princess in December. The future cruise consultant gave us a tour of the ship before she led us to the dining room for lunch. We walked around on our own after lunch, enjoyed some more food and places on the ship, and picked up our embarkation photo before leaving. Originally I had planned on booking another Princess cruise before our $39 credit expired, but we ended up sailing on a HAL ship instead in February. Nevertheless, I think the $39 cost per person was worth it.
