Oh no, I detest the smell and taste of garlic, no garlic in my house.  I do not order any menu item that mentions garlic, orrible stuff.

I agree Uncle Les, except just about every restaurant appears to 8nclude it in every dish, than goodness for the good old Rissole with a fisherman’s basket and not a bit of garlic in sight (or smell even).

I’d settle for a sheltered balcony like I had my on time on her,

Do me, had a sheltered balcony - Deck 4 on QM2, Syd to HK couple of years ago.  They are good value.

I, too, had a sheltered balcony on the way to Hong Kong. Found it a bit too enclosed.

I have a proper balcony on QE Fremantle to Melbourne. However, as it is in December, I have one on the south side of the boat to stay out of the very hot sun.

Then I will be able to enjoy my Cunard pies in the open air.

Canvey Island, I ventured there a couple of times, what a magnificent piece of real estate,  they should have made it a resort island.🤣  That big sea wall is the eighth wonder of the world. !!!

Talking of my unappetising eels image. There's a discussion on the Princess board about the rarity of escargot at the moment.Loads of garlic butter as well.

I love Escargot, mainly for the garlic butter as they could put lumps of just about anything there, mushroom, oysters, etc. I do prefer the serving on a ship where you get at least 6 of them on the plate.

Do Lemon Meringue pies count? Or tomorrow with the kids, Apple?

Never had garlic butter on meringue, not sure it would work quite as well.

As for garlic butter on the kids, I don't think we practice that here in Australia, more of a PNG highlands type thing.👹
