Never had garlic butter on meringue, not sure it would work quite as well.

As for garlic butter on the kids, I don't think we practice that here in Australia, more of a PNG highlands type thing.👹

By kids you mean little goats? Hmm?

Come to think of it has anyone ever heard of or tried goat pie?

Talking of my unappetising eels image. There's a discussion on the Princess board about the rarity of escargot at the moment.Loads of garlic butter as well.

I feel sick looking at it Brian. I won't complain about that entrée leaving the Princess menu.  I like the onion soup or shrimp cocktail for a starter.  I have simple tastes.

I love Escargot, mainly for the garlic butter as they could put lumps of just about anything there, mushroom, oysters, etc. I do prefer the serving on a ship where you get at least 6 of them on the plate.

I don't mind for the same reason.I'm a hypocrite though. They are a delicacy here, when it rains all the snails come into the road. All the old women come out and collect them in bags.On our daily walk we put them back in the grass, saving a few from the above fate, lol.

I have (Morocco) and also camel (Alice Springs).

Years ago in Perth I tried Emu Pie and in Darwin - Crocodile Pie, all tasted like chicken.🤣

Not tried a Bogan pie, which State would I get those in? 😁

NSW - just go to Bogan Gate (near Parkes) and ask for a pie.😋

Some kids Mrs Gut teaches, family own a snail farm, every now and then a call goes out for anyone with snails to take them in.

from memory they only sell 3rd generation from the wild as food.

I love starting these intellectual discussions.

I think you have made an Eton mess of our culinary tête-à-tête.

Or, perhaps that is Tater Tots for the non-francophones.
