Possible waiting list for balcony cabin?

Can RC put me on a waiting list for a balcony cabin to open up if my cruise on the RC web site says they are "Sold Out?" My cruise is a year away. Thanks! :)

I'm not sure how well it would work, but they do have waiting lists for staterooms.

As far as I know, you would have to waitlist a specific (rather than general category) cabin. Maybe that's changed, but that's how it used to be.

I tried to book a favorite cabin on Radiance a few years only a couple of days after bookings were announced. Already gone! :o

 

RCI agent asked if I wanted to be put on waiting list...I thought "oh yeah, like that is going to open up later"....it did! Just a few weeks later.

 

So it does happen. :D

If you are a year away chances for a cabin opening up are quite good--especially around final payment time. Suggest you just keep checking and do not depend on RCI to notify you.

UPDATE.....I called today and RC added me to the waitlist for a D1 balcony cabin. I did not have to pick a specific cabin. No problem! :D
