I think they structure the GGG rates under the fake sales, so you still don't get the full C&A discount.

Make sure you get it on your first call, it will not go on the booking if you do it online. Do not wait like I did, it took a few calls and finally resolutions took care of it for me. datolim Posted January 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2018 I am platinum and did not get any c & a discount. The RCL guy says it is because it is a special sale.
Clarea Posted January 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2018 I am platinum and did not get any c & a discount. The RCL guy says it is because it is a special sale. There are some aspects of RC's "sales" that are not combinable with the C&A balcony discount. One example might be promo OBC. That might be more than your C&A balcony discount, so you're probably getting the better deal.

Clarea Posted January 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Bob there was no OBC. Could be the "instant discount" method RC uses to eliminate the C&A balcony discount.

Bob the RCL guy did not mention "instant discount". All he said was it is a "special sale".

Was it a sailing on the weekly flyer? There was a great price on the Freedom Christmas sailing a few years ago and we were not allowed to use our balcony discount since it was a special price. For that one it really did not matter as we got a 7 day Christmas cruise in a D2 cabin for under $1000 for 2 people
