morrisretired Posted March 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2018 NCL Gem had shuttle buses going to La Guardia, JFK, and Newark the morning we disembarked in New York, back in November last year.
Tiggertastic Posted March 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2018 They do but Uber is cheaper Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare BirdTravels Posted March 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2018 A taxi is fixed fare $52, not as cheap as uber. NCL [sometimes] does not offer a shuttle to JFK. You can easily call reservations and ask if one is available. $45 per person.

daffodiliaz Posted March 11, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2018 NCL LINK: https://www.ncl.com/getting-to-the-pier/transfers-and-car-services I am also sailing on the Gem in June and had seen the link above but two calls to NCL and I got the same answer that transfers only available to LGA. Maybe transfers to JFK and EWR will be offered on ship.

Do you have experience as to where specifically Uber would pick up at Manhattan Cruise Terminal? Actually at the terminal or off-site on a side street? Budget Queen Posted March 11, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 11, 2018 I get to/from JFK the cheap way. :) Walk down 12th Ave to 42nd St. Get on the 42 bus, get off at 8th Ave, at Port Authority. Take the A subway downtown- HOWARD Beach train- NOT Lefferts. Then get off at JFK. pay the Airtrain fee to your terminal. Just did this a week++ ago- again. IF you don't have a Metro card, you need coin for the 42 bus.

don't-use-real-name Posted March 11, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 11, 2018 You can also go to Penn Station & take the LIRR to Jamaica, then pick up the Airtrain there. The thing about all these methods is does the schedule operate frequently to allow adequate time for the smooth timely connection between the methods. Also carrying and lugging luggage through turnstiles up and down stairs to platforms.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 11, 2018 I would also post this on the East Coast Departures Board where this question comes up every few days. The locals can give you a lot of choices and recommendations. Keith

dexddd Posted March 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Yes. Right at the terminal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Is that upstairs or down? And right at the terminal, not across the street. When we had limo the port workers were pushing everyone to go across street.

When we had limo the port workers were pushing everyone to go across street. I don’t remember if it was upstairs or downstairs but the two times I got Uber, they picked me up right at the terminal. Not across the street. However the one time I took a cab, that was across the street. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
